    Neat little pre-amp, tailpiece-mountable. Full specs/instructions [url="http://www.qualitybassgear.com/Docs/User_Guide_M0070_Professional_Double_Bass_Preamp.pdf"]here[/url]. Twin piezo bridge wing pickup included, make unknown. One side of the pickup has some surface wrinkling/damage, but works fine. Locking Neutrik jack, with tailpiece mount attached. Also in the package are two long velcro loops for mounting, a short double-right-angle connector, and a printed set of the instructions linked to above.     Yes, shop setup, or lack of it, can affect the choosing process. Where I've bought in person, the feel of the neck is always the primary attribute. As almost no bass is supplied with flats, I'm never going to get a 100% bond with a bass in a shop.

    I play a 2004. Great bass.Changed to a USA pickup, but didn't improve greatly, still sounded good! Neck failed, though. Next next was an Allparts Jazz, now it wears a maple American Special Jazz neck.
