1. Due to the guitarist not knowing the correct chord, I used to play chords also, above the 12th fret. It took a little of the incorrectness away. Other than that, it's tuning and refreshments time...
2. Yup, one of the reasons I bid on it. I also have a Squier VM Precision that weighs under 7lb. Like playing fresh air!
3.
I usually get people talking to me whilst I'm not only playing, but singing!
This REALLY p*sses me off.
4. Precision basses, or necks thereof, 44mm nut width. Can't think of anything else, really!
5. If the frets are dressed, leveled and crowned properly, then the set up, and buzzing, are determined almost exclusively by neck relief. If your 2K bass is buzzing as you describe, then either the neck is misadjusted or the fretwork is faulty. There's the nut to consider also. The gauge and height of the fretwire is of no relevance to the equation whatsoever, so long as the right relief, nut height, and fretwork has been done.
6.
Was it just me or was anyone else scared shitless the way he handled them knowing how expensive they probably are?
Did seem a tad casual...
7. Well, Rick (KK Jale) has sent me the Wilkinson 4+1, and a spiffy piece of work it is too! Now need a project bass to stick it on. Anyone know which cheapo Precision - a likes have the widest nut width?
8. This turned up in an order from Hipshot USA, and they didn't want it back, so... Complete with vintage bush and a set of four screws. Includes postage.
9. Near-perfect condition SM57 microphone. Very little use in the 8 years I've had it. Comes with clip, but no soft case. Price includes postage.
10. Tavistock, West Devon. But, depending on when you might want it, I do sometimes turn up in Brighton!
11. One of these is partly responsible for me being deaf! Incredibly loud amps. One of, if not THE best large guitar combos of all time.
