1. Price includes delivery. Bought this on a whim when visiting Brighton - how could I not go to GAK? It was 150 yards from where I was going... It's a great little bass. Plays really well. Unlike a full size fender, there's no suggestion whatever of dead spots, and I found, even with flats, that the sustain is as good as a full-bore P-bass. Pretty much unmarked. Has played two live half-gigs, but I cannot make it work well in our band setting. Not sure why. Doesn't go well with my Boss OC-3 pedal. In every other way, it's an utter delight, far surpassing my expectations. However, it's not getting any use, so it's gotta go... Will be shipped in its (full size!) gig bag, and in its original shipping carton, so should be pretty safe. It's currently strung with TI JF324s, which make for a very full sound with the humbucker. If you like short scale, you'll love this! 2. Listening to the Creative Zen Vision M left here by the former owner, now deceased. All sorts on it, from classical to rock to gypsy jazz to Self Hypnosis for Musicians. I kid you not.
3. Be a grumpy bastard. And why are you the only driver? No wheels of your own = no place in a band, as far as I'm concerned. If only as backup, everybody in the band should drive.
4.
I have a LMIII which sits atop my Barefaced BigOne. A small off-cut of carpet (shag pile of course) under the amp seems to do the trick.
My LMIII sits rock-steady on my Super 15. However, I have to tape the IEM transmitter to it, otherwise it takes a dive!
5. Ok, makes you no 2 in queue. If no go with original enquirer, then it's yours.
6. Just what it says. Interest is already shown, so form an orderly queue! All hardware included. Price is delivered.
7. Yup, looks like it. They are amazing instruments, though. I'd probably be keeping mine if it was fretless.
8. I suppose I consider it serious as I know people who DO hide stuff from their partners. And I just don't get it. See other thread in Off Topc...
9. Those are both Rockbass models. For tidge, read ridge! Here's the Thomann link. http://www.thomann.de/gb/warwick_alien.htm Price has dropped 200 Euros since I got mine.
10. what concerns me is that this thread is not a joke... My wife doesn't question my basses. I don't question her surfboards. It's called being adult, surely?
11.
I continue to be impressed every day when I play one of the P basses I put together. Don't think I can claim that it's down to any particular skill on my behalf but more, just good components all going together in a pleasing fashion.
Yup, my FrankenFender has turned out this way. Amazing.
12.
If you can afford it and you want it, why would a partner be angry? If you're spending money that should go on food, rent/mortgage or other essentials on music gear then take a good look in the mirror!
This. If you need to hide things like this, you either really do have too many basses, or you're with the wrong partner. Anyone can justify 3. Always take a backup and if one breaks, you can still take a backup. After that, you're on your own, son... (daughter, whatever...)
13. These are in fact still available, made in China to original spec, and still the same price. The other models are branded Rockbass and have no soundhole tidge or thumbrest. Got mine (fretted) as a freebie from Warwick in a prize draw on Facebook. Lovely instruments, although I will be moving mine on soon.

obbm's feedback

Just ordered and received two microphone cables from Dave. They are superb, and seemed to arrive almost instantly! Rock Wires Rule!
15. Bur access is awful for that particular part of the venue. ..
16. Was on the way to a wedding gig at the China Fleet Club when the guitarist called and said thst his wife had pranged the car. We were supposed to be supplying PA for the opening act and he carries the PA. Bum. Much franticness, but we got it sorted. The first act had a small but entirely adequate system with them anyway, so problem much reduced if not entirely solved. And it was a great gig!
17. Additionally, I find it a really weird thing that people dislike new basses BECAUSE they are new. I love them shiny and new, and do my best to keep them that way, while accepting that wear and tear happens.
18.
Simply move your belt buckle to the side (one loop to the left or right). Problem solved.
Been doing this forever. While my basses do get marked (after hundreds of gigs, it's difficult not to acquire a scar or two), they don't get battered into a relic in anything less than geological time!
19. Another BIG wave for Wunjo's. Can't praise them highly enough.
20. Currently analogue. However, if the Samson Airline bites the dust, it will be a digital Line 6 all the way.
21.
I am much more likely to deliberately count out rests , especially if there is no cue from the drummer . "Substitute" by The Who is a song that immidiately comes to mind where I would do that .
This. Ish.
22.
In 30 years I don't think I've ever tripped over my own lead
In 40 years plus, I've never NOT trodden on a cable, or had someone do it for me. So, seven years ago, maybe eight even, I got a Samson Airline system. It happens to be a fixed frequency outside the need for a licence (pure luck), and is good for all the reasons stated. A single AAA battery powers the bug for around 3 gigs. Receiver in a Boss Bcb30 with tuner and octaver. It accepts power from the same psu as the pedals, so remains set up permanently. Cable from there to amp. I'd be really unhappy to go back to cable.
23.
I have Thomastik TI JF324s on my CIJ mustang. It sounds more like my precisons than any of my other no P-pickuped basses probably due to the split pickup. Lots of punch, maybe slightly darker in its tone than my 1990 MIJ precision with JF344s. If you like light low tension flexible flatwounds that feel and sound wonderful, JF324s are ideal for the mustang.
+ 1 Got 'em on my Pawn Shop Mustang.
24. Identically to the MIA, I would think. Why would it be different?
25.
I had a plexiglass precision...was about 14lbs.
I have it now. It's still about 14lbs!
