1. Hi Oldman, 'think I just spotted your loons in Oxfam (I'll have a ferret for your ticket). The UL has a straight front, metal grille (is it the DSTs that have a curved front?) Also, I've been promising for ages but I'll try to get a few images up tonight. Cheers, L
2.
Anytime, happy to let you have a gander Loz!!
Checking National Rail for Manchester-Northampton now!
3. Again, gentlemen, thanks for the very kind words - Snazz, you wouldn't believe how many times I've been daft enough (though you're right, there aren't many basses like this hanging on shop walls). Rick - thanks, and this from a man with some of the world's most desirable basses - wow, I'd love to see your collection up close! Jazzyvee, from what I see on a US site, you'll be enjoying the benefits of a master volume soon (and two individual volumes). I've responded to some PMs and should say here that I can include a stereo to double mono cable with the bass.
4.
I would love to try out this cab but too far to travel. My wife will be pleased Have a bump on me
Thanks Chris - a lovely cab and you'd be very welcome. I've a feeling that my partner might just be pleased to see the back of the epi - only little but an addition to the general c*ap and clutter around the place. Photos tomorrow or Wednesday.
5. [sub]Clarky, you are a gentleman! I'm finding I can't cope with much other than short-scales these days (a combination of laziness and absence of talent) Should be down in London a lot soon and will give you a shout. [/sub]
6. Bump for new images - there's some subtle flame in the maple in the neck - it's not easy to see in the current photographs
7. Thanks again guys for all the very postive comments and PMs - I'm not really looking for trades just now thanks (I really need to make some space!) I have some new images of the bass and associated bits and pieces (case, paperwork, lights, back of headstock etc.) but I'm struggling to upload from home - I'll add them to the original post tomorrow. Cheers, Loz
8. I've played this bass a few times too - absolutely outstanding - incredibly easy to get around on and the usual fabulous SEI craftwork
9. Cab still available - I should be able to bring this down to London with me soon - I'll be in touch with those that have indicated a willingness to purchase
10. [sup]Bump for a lovely and extremely durable Ripper flightcase - this needs to go as I have to make some space[/sup]
11. Cheers Martin, Binky - I had the great pleasure of watching Binky run riot on this bass just a few months ago! I'm going to get some further pics up later - lights etc.
12. I shouldn't tease myself, but just for clarity, is it the stack knobs and pots (only) that are replaced, or the bell plate, wiring and cap etc. (i.e., the whole unit) too?
13. Wow - outstanding! Who did the re-fin and was the neck untouched (i.e., body only)?
14. [sup]Thanks all for the PMs and comments - it appears that these cabs are more popular outside the North West than in it! I'll get in touch with those that have expressed an interest when I'm travelling (if the cab is still around). I'll also try to get a pic up. Cheers, L[/sup]
15. You could try TI Jazz Rounds - very light and a lovely finger-feel (if you like fine and slippery) - they're nickel and expensive, but a very high quality option
16.
I am still in Southport
Indisposed today - will call in the morning!
17. What a bargain - I'm amazed this is still around - a serious, quality instrument
18. Absolutely stunning - wow! I'll get ovr with the streamline asap
19. Some beautiful statii on here just now - this looks absolutely gorgeous!
20. Wow! Absolutely love this bass and have coveted it since first sight - stunning!
21.
pics please
Hi- thanks, will try later in the week - 'til then, it looks exactly like the one here: http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Bergantino,_Passive_AE_bass_speakers.html Cheers, L
