Wow! Love the gorgeous maple against the darker laminates and core...you can just tell this will sound enormous

Just bought an Amp One from Brian - perfect condition (as advertised), beautifully packed, super-rapid delivery and excellent communication throughout. Brian is another pillar of our community and entirely honest and trustworthy. The conversations were great throughout - a very friendly seller and thoroughly recommended in every way - cheers!

I use Hiscox cases most of the time - lightweight and very strong. You may be able to do better that £75 too.

SOLD - wow, that was quick! For sale, a Moody 2.5" leather strap in black with tobacco suede inner. In very good condition indeed - almost indistinguishable from new but has been wearing schaller straplocks so the ends/strap-holes bear some impressions. The two 'Moody' logos in gold are perfectly intact. Stitching is in gold thread. Moody are widely considered to be the ultimate in luxury leather straps. They are beautifully made from the very finest materials and are supremely comfortable, especially with heavier instruments. Not easy to get hold of in the UK, they're priced at about £100 ($127 and €110). I think £50 for this one (including shipping to the UK) is about reasonable. You can see the strap on the Moody site at: http://www.moodyleather.com/xcart/home.php?cat=250

For sale, an as new, immaculate line6 lowdown 110 combo. This has seen almost no use - a bit of home practise - and is just over a year old as far as I know (it was bought on BC). It's solid, loud and punchy, versatile and well-built. Certainly sufficiently loud for acoustic gigs and quieter rehearsals (depending on drummer). Specs and details can be found here: http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/product/1545...-110-1x-10.html The amp is easy to use and the models are well selected (though I didn't get to grips with the bass synth). The compressor is very good as are the tone controls/eq - these are sometimes slow to respond - maybe the way the modelling works??? Apologies for the images - iphone only available! In sum, a very light, portable, versatile amp in immaculate condition with power lead, Lowdown manual (plus print of the 110 manual) and box. These seem to sell at £205 so £95 sounds very reasonable for collection in central Manchester. I can ship to the UK and would estimate around £10 in charges.

+1 Some fantastic Grabbers and Rippers turning up - what a joy, I don't think these basses have had the appreciation they deserve (fantastic players with a very distinctive tone). Gust0o - that G3 is astounding! Great to see one in such condition 35 years on. Shockwave, same too - a great example that will come to life with a bit of care (I'm not sure about the bridge - I know Hipshot produce a nice replacement for the 3 point found on Rippers, but I'd imagine it's the original bent plate on the Grabber)

Chris, you can see mine in post 772 (p39 I think) of the Status Graphite porn thread - the tarnish was much worse than on your bass but with some care and hard work it came up rather well (very fine wire wool I think, then plenty of metal polish)
-
Lovely Series II - I had the same problem with tarnish on the tuner/logo plate but removed it with some vigorous polishing (indeed, the tarnish was a problem with the laquer on the brass rather than the brass itself). I removed the lacquer entirely - the brass obviously needs more regular polishing but it's nice and shiny all over (I'd recommend Flitz - the favoured polish of Alembic users but equally good on a Status).

Some slightly better images (better than previous efforts anyway) of a Fender J special edition and an AC LG4

Not sure that anybody has touched on one of the issues embedded in the OP - my own view is that re-sale value on Overwaters is very poor indeed. I think that the same can probably be said for W&T. The instruments are rather individual (by definition with a serious custom, and just generally in the case of W&T given the basic model shapes) and this must have some impact on re-sale prices. This isn't to say that both W&T and Overwater are not great basses. I've had several Overwaters with various configurations and each was extremely well-built and beautifully finished. I find all Overwaters to be rather big and chunky instruments - a very solid feel and plenty of mass. I haven't had much experience with W&T though the basses seem to be a bit dinkier than Overwaters. I have dealt with Enrico and found him to be very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable - I'm sure he could work with you towards your ideal bass. If re-sale is/could be an important consideration, I'd honestly stay well clear of either O or W&T - some of the weakest used values I've seen (realistically, you'd seriously have to consider recovering only 40-50% after a year, especially in the current market).

Wow!!! Absolutely beautiful - the basses coming out of Paul's shop are simply fantastic - testament to his skills and extraordinary attention to detail. As an owner (of a 6 I can'tplay) I would say that, but in all seriousness, new Wals deserve serious consideration from anybody in the market for the higher expression of the bass building art. Purpleblob - yours is a fabulous example!

What a star - in a 3-way, one-city deal, Martin (MB1) paid for and picked-up an amp and delivered across town within an hour - communications were fun and extremely easy as usual. Thanks for facilitating all Martin (thanks too to Thunderthumbs as the other party in a very friendly transaction)!

Just sent an RX Microcube over to Thunderthumbs in one of the easiest and most hassle-free transactions ever. Thunderthumbs was a gentleman throughout and a pleasure with whom to do business - most highly recommended - great communications and a man of his word. The deal was facilitated by Martin (MB1) who collected the amp and delivered across town - thanks to both him and Thunderthumbs!

Just sent a lovely bass over to Germany to reside with Deepdee. Absolutely phenomenal buyer - no problems of any kind - communications were super-rapid and friendly, and the bank transfer was processed via an express service (the cash was in my account in a couple of hours). Highly recommended - a pillar of our community!

Lovely little Roland Microcube RX for sale - as new with strap, PSU and instuctions. Very versatile and great for home practice and acoustic gigs/jams. Packed with useful and useable features. Cheapest I can find on the web is £168 so £75 sounds very reasonable. I don't have images but it's just like the one in the link below. Collection in central Manchester is great - sorry, I don't have time to ship. Guitar Makers To Run Out Of Wood In 10 Years
Sorted.
Yep - spent 30 minutes playing an exotic 'bic last night, then 30 minutes on a Streamline this morning - just as much fun. There's tons of graphite left (great news for crap players like me, I can carry on supplying all the good players with reasonably-priced used basses)
