Thanks fellas! Edited the video in iMovie, would never recommend iMovie in a million years but it did the job for now. Will post more stuff up once it's finished. Thanks for listening!

Hey folks, Here's a tune I wrote a little while ago. I've managed to surround myself with some great musicians whilst being here in London so stole some of their time to come record in my flat. Hope you enjoy! https://vimeo.com/50287519

First off, I just want to say that I think this site is fantastic and has opened up the bass market for me which, before, was only filled by ebay and I know how we all feel about that. What I don't get about this site is why people feel the need to comment on my 'for sale' topics and state that they have no money. I'm thinking this should be banned. Some people have an appreciation for the items on sale but there is no need to write things like "love this bass but totally out of funds right now." I see these posts every day and they are just pointless. The sellers are seriously trying to make some money by advertising their items but the forums are plagued with people who have this inherent desire to tell you how broke they are. You wouldn't walk into an estate agents and say "excuse me sir, I really like the house advertised in your window but unfortunately I have no money" and then walk out... These people come in to the same category as those who seem genuinely interested in your item, you send them a billion more photos which they have personally asked for, then they disappear off the face of the planet without so much of a thank you. Okay, rant over. I appreciate forums are places where people can post what they like, it just seems a bit much sometimes. Thanks for reading, Dave

Fender Marcus Miller on Gumtree
Dave Holden replied to TheGreek's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
Woohoo! -
Just took a peek and all I can is wow! That's one of the biggest teases I have seen on BC for ages. My misus would pour petrol over me, light the match and stamp on my ashes if I'd bought it!
Yeh but at least you'd have a really nice bass...although you wouldn't be able to play it in that condition...still worth considering though

Hey everyone! Up for sale is my Custom 5 string GB Spitfire which I have had for a little over a year after buying it off the original owner. The reason I am selling it is because I have just bought a 5 string Marcus Miller bass and need to be realistic about how many basses I need in my life. I am selling this GB Spitfire along with my 4 string Marcus bass here on basschat to fund the new one. You can check out Bernie's website here: http://gbguitars.co.uk/gb_spitfire.asp LINK TO PICTURES: http://s1256.photobu...92/Dave_Holden/ Note: The last 2 pictures are not actually my bass. It's the same apart from the dots on my bass are on the binding only and not the fretboard. Some specs on the bass below: Satin finished 35" Scale Burl Maple top on an Ash body Bound Birdseye Maple neck with Birdseye Maple fingerboard Loaded with the GB Guitars Bass Processor preamp 3 Band EQ, Volume and Pickup pan knobs. Fret dots on binding only There are a few tiny dents in the lacquer on the heel edge of the bass. These were here when I bought the bass and they do no affect the playability of the instrument. I have also just fitted the bass with new strings. The EQ is versatile and has a bright switch for extra top end. I am looking for £1500 ONO. The bass also comes with a GB Hardcase. I put myself in debt buying this bass because I love it so much but I just can't justify having 2 5 strings in the house at the moment. I can post this bass at the buyers expense but I'd rather meet in person if possible. I live in North London (Burnt Oak) but I can meet anywhere in London. Any questions, then please ask 07779 971289 Cheers! Dave

Hello all! I'm selling my Marcus Miller 4 string Japanese Jazz Bass in Olympic White. The reason I'm selling is because I just bought the 5 string version and as much as I'd love to hold on to this, I really shouldn't, seeing as I have to pay rent and have no room for extra basses in my life at the moment. The specs for this bass are here on the Fender website: http://www.fender.co...iller-jazz-bass There are 2 imperfections on the bass. There is a tiny chip in the neck binding (see picture). This has been here for a few years now and won't get worse. It does not affect playability otherwise I would have had it sorted, it can't be felt when moving around the neck whilst playing. The other thing is there are a few hairline cracks in the lacquer on the edge of the bass at the heel end. Again this has been like that for a few years and doesn't affect the performance or feel of the bass at all. I've tried to show this in the photo. I love this bass and wouldn't sell it if I hadn't just bought the 5 string version. It's a serious work horse which I've used for many studio sessions and it sounds great live. The 'Marcus Miller' tone is awesome but I often use the passive tone, especially when recording to just give me a wicked jazz bass sound. I'd like £600 for this bass. I can post it at the buyers expense but would rather meet up in person if possible. I live in North London (Burnt Oak) but can travel around London to meet. I also might have a new set of Marcus Miller DR Strings lying around if I can find them to throw in with the bass. Will have to check Any questions then please ask. Feel free to call me on 07779 971289 Cheers! Dave
