1. Sold this, I'm afraid!
2. We play most weekends and seem to be getting though the cheapo XLR cables I bought pretty quickly...we treat them pretty well, but I think they're just pooly made. Can anyone suggest some durable cables for us to gig regularly with? Cheers, Ben
3. My god that's a cheap cab!
4. Bump - I think a valve has gone in this, it's not Biasing properly. I'm going to take it to a tech asap, if anyone's interested, I'll get it done before Christmas, otherwise it'll be in the New Year.
5. Only bought this a couple of months ago, gigged about 6 times since, sounds great and is in exactly the same condition as the previous sellers photos show. Original Sale Thread Bought it for my return-to-all-valve experiment, but I can't justify the money being tied up when I can get an approximation from a Sansamp through our PA. £200 collected on the Wirral, postage would be £20 on top.
6. Just played the Cavern again. They've installed a new K-Array PA which we thought looked ace and sounded great with the acoustic-y fella on before us.... Halfway though our second song, the right "array" died and smelled like it was on fire. We had to use our JBL Eon 15 for the right side for the rest of the evening. Then, first song into our second set, the left one starts to smell like fire, so we unplugged it, got their original PA cab out and used that instead! So, eventful! Nice people at the Cavern though, so we got it sorted and soldiered on. Back up in 5 hours....need to wind down....
7. does the desk have inserts? You could go into another submixer from your channel inserts, a small desk would probably give you another 3/4 mixes (2 aux, monitor, main outs, even panning channels to mono main outputs gives you another layer...) bit fiddly.
8. yeah, it does phantom power for all 10 XLRs. It's a global switch.
9. Finally, I've got our Alesis io26, firewire interface. Good little interface, but we quite fancy the M-Audio Project Mix to give us some DAW control as well as the 8 mic pres. http://www.alesis.com/io26 In very good condition with the PSU. £170 delivered to the UK, but I will need to wait for the other gear to sell before letting this go as we need all the cash for the Project Mix! 10. Up for sale is our Lexicon MX300, stereo reverb/multi-effects unit. It's in excellent condition, just some light marks from being inserted into the rack. Very versatile and sounds great, especially on vocals, but can be used on instruments (including bass!!) too. Some blurb from the website: http://www.lexiconpr...duct.php?id=145 £160 including postage to the UK.
11. Ok, next up, got a Studiomaster Club 2000 142 mixer. 10 XLR Mic Pres and 2 stereo channels, 2 Aux, tape in/tape out etc... It's older than some, but works really well, no scratchy pots or faders and does a very good job in live situations. I found our vocals to be warm and clean. Warmer than through our Yamaha desk, certainly. Anyways, £55 including delivery to the UK.
12. I've got some stuff to sell, here's a big flightcase rack thing, which has 12U of storage, a 2U cubby hole and room for a fairly deep 19" mixer (it fits out Yamaha MG166CX mixer). The top comes off to reveal the mixer and it's fully lockable. It does need some rack nuts and bolts, they're very cheap on eBay or other respected retailers. Pretty big thing, so collection only, although it's not massively heavy. £50. 13. ridiculous price!
14. Jem, if only £350 was that easy to come by at Christmas! I'll sell for £750 cash, collected from the Wirral too. I could ship it, but you're looking at £40 and the inherent risk of shipping such a heavy item, although I'd pack the crap out of it.
15. I think I'm being a noob here, but having recorded happily with analogue gear, I'm struggling with latency and sync problems with our latest set up. Does anyone use this set up here? Basically, we started recording in anger last night, my brother laid down the drum track to a click generated from logic through the Alesis. Everything's fine. I then go to track the bass, there's very noticeable delay. There's a latency compensation option within the Alesis control panel, changing that from "none" to "high" seemed to have done the trick, but then later while putting the guitar down, we had to change that back from "high" to "none" and back again to get the latency down...?! How would you go about recording, listening back and tracking using this setup?
