I think this forum is the dogs danglies!!!! I have met loads of top people on here, bought a few great bits and pieces and thoroughly enjoy going through all the threads at stupid o'clock in the morning when the twins wake up!!! I know there have been one or two "issues" in the For sale threads, but that apart this really is the ONLY forum worth looking at! Big UP the Basschat Massive!!! -
concur 100% however...what they do is their thing and, as for all of us, we should endeavour to be ourselves creating our own thing or individuality which makes us 'unique' in our own style. Pat Torpey (Mr Big drummer) once said: "No matter how good or bad drummers can be, I always learned something from them. Whether this be a complex pattern or a simple beat." thought it was a good sentiment and have since used this outlook in my playing experience. andy
Agree 100% - It was incredible to watch, and whilst I fully appreciate that, as with anything else, opinion is always subjective. I found it completely mesmerising to see the talent the guy has...and by christ if I look that good at his age i'll be very happy! Ona seperate note, his drummer.....24, staight outta compton ( i'm sure theres a song there!!) and mind blowing....I have NEVER seen anything like it, give teh guy a few more years and he'll be untouchable. Anyroadup, Top night, came away truly humbled, but bloody well inspired!
QUOTE (ste_m3 @ Apr 24 2008, 06:37 PM) My only suggestion would be that if you think you can get mroe money on ebay for it, then thats exactly what you should do. Wheres the community spirit eh! we're basically beating inflation with this place! Yup.
Yup +1 ...I'm truly staggered to see this....I know without exception that the Jazz Re-Issue i got of a certain Mr Cougar would without doubt have gone for more on Evil Bay.....I think this is a bit poor really...

JPG] Afternoon one & All, Just a feeler at this stage really, toe in the water so to speak! Bought this rather splendid 6-er off Gaff a while back and it is a truly gorgeous bass, natural finish and near as dammit mint...one slight bump to top of body, but nothing to cause concern. Sounds awesome and plays like a dream. Reason for possible trade/sale is that I'm just not using it that much and if someone else can get more use out of it then so much the better... not sure what it's worth to anyone in terms of sale or trade so let me know if your interested. Would be keen to look at a precision or warwick, or a nice fretless maybe....pretty much anything ....although I will have to draw the line at figurines of Take That crafted from Marzipan!!!! Feeler: Trace Elliot AH300-12 300w Head
the hand of john curley replied to Willl's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
Possibly (subject to scraping together funds for a good lightweight replacement) I'm looking at selling my Trace Elliot Head. It's an AH300-12 GP12. The launch material from March 1999 says it's: * 300 watt head. * Valve/solid state preamp section. * 12 band graphic EQ. * Harmonic Emphasis. * Switchable, variable valve gain. * Switchable pre-shape curve. * Noise reduction. * Dual compressor. * Electro-luminescent front panel. * Full range effects loop. * Pre/post EQ balanced DI Outputs. * Tuner Output. * Fan cooled. There is so much written elsewhere about the Trace Elliot sound that I wont wax lyrical about it here. For me it's been a cracking amp for a loud rock and punky covers band playing through a mix of 4x10 and Trace 18" cabs. The cover is the TE green carpet style. It's been super reliable over the last 3 years after (just after I got it) I had GMAudio repair a failed output FET and fully service it. I'm looking to go lightweight and take advantage of the band's growing PA so it's time for this to go... I was asked if it could be rack mounted, and yes I think it can, and although I don't have any rack ears, the AH500 and AH1000 from the same range came in RAH (Rack mounted) form, so they're probably available somewhere. I've included a picture to show the tapped mounting holes in the side of the casing ready for the ears. Let me know if you have any other questions and I'll do my best. It's in corking condition other than one missing EQ slider cover (highlighted in one of the photos below). I do have the optional 5 way footswitch to go with it which switches Pre-shape, Graphic, Valve, Compression and Effects Loop. I'm looking for as close to £300 as I can get, including Footswitch not including shipping. It weighs enough to prefer pickup. Thanks Willl
Superb bit of kit. PM Sent!!! -

It is one of the older amps from before the takeover I think 1995 I have had the amp from new and it has always served me well and never let me down. I have had it serviced regularly and have kept it in the best possible condition. Reason for sale is that I have moved into a upstairs flat and can't get it up the stairs on my own (its quite heavy at 50kg) Pick up only. Price £495
That is one hell of a fine amp at a fantastic price......wonder what I could get for my kids on Ebay?!?!?!?!? .....ah well have a bump! -
