That's a lovely looking bass. The $$ is a great pup config (I've got a Corvette $$ myself), and the Streamer shape is probably the most popular (and most comfortable) shape that Warwick do. It's a relatively rare bass, so you would probably have to pay a premium either in money or in the time spent looking for one at a better price. And buying from a shop does mean a higher price (for which you should get better after-sales service if any issues arise). Allowing for that, you may have paid slightly over the odds, but only slightly. If I saw a mint Streamer $$ in a shop for much less than £1200 I'd consider it a bargain.
If it looks like an SG, plays like an SG, sounds like an SG, then...
Besides, it's got humbuckers, so it can't be a Les Paul.
Maybe it'll work for the spandau ballet stuff in the function band set
I see what you did there!

BRX has a point, but aside from the terminological inexactitude, I think the idea is a good one. It'd be good to hear how you get on with it.
Result!
So perhaps now you should contact Neutrik and complain that you haven't had 10,000 mating cycles, and see if they can sort you out?

Another TI user here. I get a lovely acoustic sound out of them.
So do they make different bridge components for the broadnecks to facilitate the wider spacing?
Yes. I think if you look through the custom shop gallery on their website you can see some broadnecks and some standard spacing and you can see the difference in the tail piece. Edit: And if you look at their web shop you can see they offer "wide" versions of their bridges.

5 hours does sound rather short. I have a feeling that compressors are relatively hungry pedals, although the EBS site says it only draws 15mA, which is pretty small. I'd be tempted to put a multimeter inline with the battery and see what the current draw actually is. That can also tell you whether unplugging a cable makes a difference. (I don't know about EBS, but I think most pedals are designed so that current will be being drawn whenever a cable is attached to the input socket). But, you say that the light stays on? The manual says you should change battery when the light stops lighting. So I wonder if there is something else wrong with the pedal?

Has anyone here tried these EB Cobalt Strings yet?
mart replied to Grand Wazoo's topic in Accessories and Misc
Ou7shined is right: there was a discussion earlier this year: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/165581-ernie-ball-cobalt-strings/page__hl__cobalt (And a search also throws up a few other comments about these strings). -
Perhaps pictures of the front of the bass would help.
What, like the ones in the first post? You know where you can shove your Markbass ...
How did this thread go from one about a guy called Cris looking for a bassists with a big rig to a thread about Mark Percy, whoever he is? Am I missing something
I guess someone did a search on the phone numbers, and found the numbers on "Cris"'s advert were also on "Mark Percy"'s webpage. Is this the guy you used to be in a band with? -
Give him a call on his mobile.
And ask him if he wants to buy a Markbass combo, since he doesn't seem to have one. -
7.9kg for the VHT, 0.85kg for the Orange. That's a significant difference to me.
Had one, sold it,regret it. New ones far too dear,so I'm Gassing for a Rockbass $$.Problem is they are as rare as hen's teeth.
But there's currently a German $$ going for a sub-RB price on this very forum, as well as an RB $$ too. So you've no excuse, really!

Perhaps I should say that I'm assuming that your blend pot is grounded (i.e. the short jumper wire that isn't connected to the output is connected to the ground). And I'm also assuming that the neck pup volume control is on full. If you turn it down when you have the blend pup round to the P pup, then I think you'd still have a signal on output 2.
-
How come? OUtput 2 will be neck pup all the time irrespective of the blend knob....?
Sadly not. When the blend pot is over to the P position, the input from the neck pup to the blend pot will be grounded. But that means all the neck pup signal will be sent to ground, meaning that output 2 will be dead. It's basically the same reason why in a Les Paul if you've got both pickups selected, and you set the volume on one pickup to zero then you get no output.
-
That circuit looks good except that the neck tone pot will apply to both outputs, not just Output 2. But the only ways round this (that I can think of) would be a) have a selector switch to route the signal either to output 1 or to output 2 (but not both) or b ) have some clever transformer thing to isolate the output 2 tone pot from output 1. Tbh I don't know exactly how you could do that, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be worth the effort, and would probably lose you some signal. So I'd definitely go for a switch. I'd also say it's pretty odd choosing to have no control over the balance between the two P pups. Having two volume controls before a balance control is also pretty unorthodox, but I can just about see why you'd want that.
Had a quick flick through the BH250 manual online, and it appears you can use the optional footswitch to toggle between two different Toneprints. I'd always assumed that you could only have one Toneprint programmed in at a time, not two. So that's pretty cool then. ...
The manual is a bit contradictory, isn't it: "Connect a TC Electronic SWITCH 3 (optional) and activate/deactivate TonePrint" and then "... Switch 3 - TonePrint A/B (alternate between two TonePrints)". I'm guessing that this amp doesn't support the use of that third switch, but it'd be great to hear otherwise.
