BC better than TB.
That's pretty good, but I feel you've lost some of the impact of the original story. Where's the love interest, for example? Don't you just love Friday afternoons? -

Sorry skank, but that was too much to read. Can't we just have the executive summary? -
You don't need a lined fingerboard. Yadda yadda yadda. Seriously though, I've always found that the dots on the side are more useful than lines on the board. But I guess you need to try it out for yourself (assuming you haven't already done so; apologies if you have!) If you actually like your Warwick-esque Vintage, then look around and you can probably find a 2nd-hand German Warwick for around £300/£350. Only problem is that it probably won't be lined.

And of course you could drop Thomann a line and tell them they've sent the wrong power lead, and ask them to send you a UK IEC lead ASAP.
You get the 'yah' with double LL or if the 'L' is followed by an 'A', which is not the case in your examples (Barcelona, Valencia, albondigas, oloroso, etc) It's Ah-ghee-yah
In three years of living in Spain I never heard any suggestion that a single l is pronounced like that. I certainly recall people saying "Hola" with the l pronounced just as it would be in English, but I don't remember ever hearing anyone saying "oya". And the sample here fits exactly with my recollections: http://www.forvo.com/word/fila/#es
yep the rod screw is right in fully clockwise and it has an up bow ie the neck is bowed away from the strings
TI strings have very low tension, so the only way this makes sense is if your truss rod tightens the opposite way to normal. Try screwing it anticlockwise and see if that helps.

There's a nice link on this thread: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/169785-neck-diving-thunderbird-how-can-i-get-around-it/

For the plug I always go for a standard UK 3-pin one. It makes it so much easier to find a socket to plug it in.

Someone trying to sell my Burman for me
think someone will wonder why the valves look different, and one of the pics is set for 240v?
If I'd noticed it as a potential buyer, I'd be quite worried by the voltage-selector being set differently in each of the three pics that show it! -
That's a great image, and I'd say the silhouettes serve to focus the eye on the man himself, as well as to make it a more honest shot, rather than something that's been posed. And welcome to the exciting and paranoid world of checking your amazon sales rank every day and looking out for reader reviews posted there.
Saw this in passing Bigger/cheaper version of the Gramma pad? http://www.studiospa...ser/invt/465310
Bigger? Isn't it almost exactly the same size? It says it's 570mm x 370mm x 68mm, which actually looks fractionally smaller than the Gramma pad's 23" x 15" x 2.75" to me. Still, it certainly is a good few quid cheaper.
...Using the meter on the Ω setting, ....
Er, one other point that nobody's mentioned (and which I'd forgotten!): On most multimeters there are several different settings for measuring resistance, designed for measuring different ranges of resistance. You want it on the most sensitive setting, i.e. the one with the smallest number of ohms. On this one here, for example, you'd want it set to the "200" setting that's at 6 o'clock on the dial: If you get this wrong then you may be reading 0 even when there is a noticeable resistance.

Difference between J & P chrome pup cover

From your sig I'd have said yours is somewhere in between!! The section over the strings looks too parallel to be a jazz cover, but the end tags look too long to be a precision cover. Strange! -
Any band name will give promoters and audiences an idea of what sort of music you play, as will the typography you use on any flyers. The question is whether you want to give them an accurate idea, or whether you want to deliberately mislead them, so that you attract the wrong sort of fans, and put off the ones who'd enjoy your music. For me it's a no-brainer. A few years ago some friends fancied a night out, so we looked at the listings of a local club to pick a band to go and see. We hadn't heard of any of them so went based on the names. One stood out as having both the sort of name, and the sort of typography that an indie band would use. Turned out to be a pair of mullets doing very tired acoustic covers of '70s classic rock. I didn't mind, but my friends were really disappointed. And I'm sure many people who would have enjoyed it didn't go because they didn't think it would be their thing. Foot meet bullet.
I had a local rare wood merchant to machine me a rosewood one for my stingray. Looks top notch, but didn't come cheap! ...
But how does it affect the tone?
-
You've got a bridge earth wire linking the bridge to one of the pots, right? Well, check the resistance when you touch one probe of your multimeter to the bridge and the other to another point on the casing on that pot. If the reading is still high-ish, then re-solder or even replace the bridge earth wire and try again. If it is low then your bridge earth wire is good and the problem is elsewhere in the control cavity. Putting the two probes to any two of the pot casings should give a low reading, and similarly if you put the two probs on any one of the pot casings and the sleeve tag on the jack socket. Wherever you get a high reading, you need to re-solder or replace the earth wire.

Actually, these two pics show the difference quite well, and also show that the P one is much wider overall:
