£1350 ono. Photos HERE Unsure of exact age but it is older than 1990 as you can see from the label (Made in German Democratic Republic) and showing a few signs of 30+ years playing life. Neck was repaired by Thwaites three years ago, they did a fantastic job and also fitted the Fishman Full Circle pickup at the same time as a set-up. Strings are spiro E and A with a mixed gut core D and G - can't remember exact brands but perhaps a string silk aficionado will be able to shed some light on that. I think I have some other strings that I will throw in too, possibly the spiro D and G but I will need to double-check. Comes with a decent padded soft case that is a bit worn in places but does the job. Collection only from Flitwick, Bedfordshire. Test drives available on request.

£500 Great ply 3/4 double bass for sale. I have been told it's from the 1960s and probably East German. As you can see, she's definitely seen a lot of history and, I like to think, oozes mojo. The endpin and adjustable bridge were fitted new by Bristol Violin Shop about 3 years ago. It's all ply and sounds great. I was using it for slap stuff with guts etc. and it did that really well. I've just strung it with some steels just now and lowered the string height a little and she really sings, lots of lovely mwwwahh and great sustain. The pick up is a K&K bass max which I can include along with a cheap tappy piezo pickup (used for slap etc) and I also have a lightweight cover/case which isn't hugely padded but will keep the weather off! 🙂 Let me know if you'd like to come and have a look and I'll get the kettle on. (Viewings in MK45 1LH or PM for other options regarding drop off etc)

Fostex R8 in great condition. Never used by myself, bought for a project that never materialised a couple of years ago. Lots of info about these online and photos to come asap. Comes with 2 empty spools. Looking for £285 and would prefer collection from MK45 although I'm sure it could be couriered and I can look into prices if necessary. Fostex 812 also in great condition and as above, never used. One fader plasric part missing and right side plasric fascia is loose but can easily be fixed - obviously doesn't affect functionality. Looking for £150 and same applies as R8 regarding collection etc. Lastly there is 1 x 8x8 1/4 inch jack to 1/4 inch jack multicore cable and also 2 x 8x8 RCA to RCA multicore cable.
