Overwater by Tanglewood ClassicJ - PRICE ADJUSTED

Large collection of Bass Player, Bass Guitar & Other bass related mags going back to issue 1 in some cases IIRC> Available for collection from Sussex coast. They have to go in a clearout frenzy & will be going to the tip fairly soon. Collection only, or I could possibly deliver at a reasonable distance and for the cost of fuel (around 12.5p/mile) there are just too many to pack up & courier

Not too bad. Dep with the drummer from my 'main' classic rock band in his funky/disco function band. Bit of Chic, Kylie, Stevie Wonder, Jamiroqui etc. Interesting for a person who is happier with a pick and ends up with an odd claw like method for some bits but it works(ish) Not a lot of room to move, particularly with a stand for the keyboard for bass synth - for two songs - why on earth did I bother!? Seemed to go OK & remembered most of it. Rig was sounding nice where I was. Wal > Microbass II (as a mixer for the synth & bass) > TC BH250 > Super12T on a Gramma Pad. Seemed to have a fairly solid sound with a bit of snap.
Some great pics bluejay of the day,you can almost smell the GAS in these pictures :0)
... well it was mainly men of a certain age -
It's when I read a thread like this that I realise how lucky I am to still be playing with folks I've known for over twenty years.
... until recently I might have agreed with you, but just at the mo I'm not so sure. Think I may need to get the bolt gun and give it the last rites
So it's OK to pay someone to professionally relic a bass, but sacrilege to let your mates do it?
Nope. They're both feckin' stupid.

Gig 2 for the w/e over. 4-7 in The Swan Woolston. Sound guy tells me in the break that the bass is too loud as he only has the kick, vocals & guitar in the PA and can't get anything over the bass (which for me was sounding luverley). Everyone else seemed to think the overall sound was great. Ah well Fist gig with this band in a while. Down a guitarist and with the dep drummer (who did a sterling job). A few extra songs in including some that have been out of the set getting on two years now. Nobody died. The audience were well up for it and we had fun. HUZZAH!! White Punks on Dope to end the first set. On a wing and a prayer as the drummer had an old recorded version, no r/h and it was one of the songs we haven't played in a while that normally has harmony guitars at the end. Went really well all things considered. It is a bit of a showstopper. Took the digital recorder and for some reason best known to itself it stopped 40 mins into the first set so missed WPOD but was quite happy for the whole of the second set, including the met raffle. Curse it.

Out proggy gigging last night and it went pretty well. Couple of slight fluffs, but I'll bet no one noticed. Good reaction at the end considering that it was actually for a birthday party with the usual attendant ancients and babies that entails. Took both amps. Used the TC BH250 again and the Wal all night. Lovely. Stage was smaller than I remember from last time and the bass pit was incredibly tight with the bass, amp/cab, bass pedals, mike stand and guitar on a separate stand

Shame. I quite like Drumcore for quick tracks. I wondered whether you were dragging the wrong item, but seems that you have found it just doesn't work on 64bit. When I first had DC I was dragging what I thought needed D&D - IIRC the item on the list instead of the depiction of the selected loop - and that was the problem
I would like to get a D-Tuner for my Explorer and my father has offered to get one for my birthday.....so I want to make sure he gets the right model.....according to the Hipshot Website I need a 'GB-7' http://store.hipshot...uct_detail&p=72 Just want to make sure this is right before money is spent.....had heard and read about this 'not quite fitting' on some basses (posts not being long enough etc....!) Also heard that these don't work with brass nuts, is this true or just they don't work quite as reliable as with graphite...!?! Any info would be helpful Cheers Sam
I had a graphite nut installed when I got my D-Tuner years ago. I suspect that the thing with a brass nut is that it is harder than graphing or a standard nut, and there is a greater potential for it to catch on the way down or back up. Whether that is in fact the case I couldn't say. What I can say is I love mine and have since I got it. Just remember to follow the instructions when restringing and enjoy
I'm in Bud, joined your team and will be doing my bit come Novemeber. My Brother had a run in with Prostate Cancer over the last couple of years so this year I'll be collecting as much as I can at my gigs and from my Facebook page. Just wondering where I tell folks to send £££££££'s if paying online etc.
They just go to your MoPage and give online there IIRC
lets see the picture!
Well it finished up as Actually it ended up as £340 last year - HERE

I think we made a couple of hundred last year, so why not dive in again. Funnily enough I was only thinking of this last night. Last year was in honour of the droopy tache I had on the EP cover 30 years ago. This year, dear I espouse the 'Charlie Chaplin'!?

Nothing for months on end, then this week I have rehearsals with two different bands Sunday afternoon & evening (forgot MrsW & I were supposed to be going to an evening wedding bash as well - oops!) then I'm away for work Monday & Tuesday & have to rush back for another rehearsal Tuesday night, followed by gigs with one of the two bands, Saturday and a third on Sunday early evening ... and I have also agreed to get together with yet another possible band in the following weeks. I shouldn't complain, but AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!
I fuel that I like necks that are big chunky. I fuel the basses may be bit big heavy too though but.
Bloody autocorrect drives me mad

looks like I should have held on to my two after all. less than £200 each including flightcases, mind it's going back a while now. When I got mine new mid 70's they were a cheap British option 'cos I couldn't afford a Fender. nice basses and I kept them for years but always fuel the neck was a big chunky
Lauged out loud in a couple of places. Maybe I'm one of those people who like crap?
You & me both Some people can perhaps get a bit too precious about stuff, favourite bands etc..
Booya! These are what I use, outstanding but do come at a price. I won't sugar coat it, they're £165 but are worth every penny. Dan
ditto, though I sometimes wonder whether my 17db ones are too much considering the years of abuse and damage done already in my long and noisy life. Suggestion was to put them in half an hour previous to the gig to aclimatise

You could go midi controller -> laptop (if you already have one for other stuff) & soft synths with perhaps Sampletank Free that has a pretty good base set of sounds IIRC, BUT it is a nightmare of reboots if something goes wrong

Yup I presume these clips have been ripped from something like that. Still made me chuckle, not having seen it before as I dont have the duvde

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxuw_ZzpVOw Just seen this. I expect it's been posted before, but who cares. Always good to see a band go that extra mile for the show. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQv8yXDTU68
