1. This could make a lonely cab very happy this Christmas
2. who are you taking
3. when is a single cut not a single cut, there are no rules just good taste, balance playability and of course tone
4. Motown - first for me, But Stax well there is some excitement on that label, like sweet and sour they balance each other nicely, music today wound not be the same without either and the cross over that followed through the 70's has shaped pop as we know it today.
5.
I guess for ordinary people this wouldn't be a problem, but as I hate interacting with other people and generally pretend I don't speak English when approached on public transport, it put a downer on the whole day...
You must be a joy to be with on stage
6. Ah! yes that would be useful sorry 8 ohm - I will edit the post cheers
7. Available is one 8 ohm 12" wizzy speaker from one of my two wizzy M-lines i owned and have since sold. Sold
8. I bought this to temper the bass bloom on my Rob Allen during a recording session last year. Used one weekend in a studio only - labels are just paper notes under tape and can be removed. but was for quick reference to remind me what was what that weekend They are cheap but work well £25 posted / £20 collected
9. is it me - I thought it must be heading towards the weir
10. Better than socks or slippers Bump The Berg 2x12 may be up for grabs in the new year
11. It was a ? as opposed to a !!! but quite an outlay if you prefer the Diesel 2X15 or the Barefaced. Just wondered if you had tried one, The construction and look are great.
12. A Blind purchase ?
13. Were there two of them, pointy ears red waistcoats and green velvet hats and did you hear bells when they left - Santa always goes for the lightweight gear.
14. Despite my personal reservations on its functional flexibility over my existing amps. It is here and priced to sell. If it sounds as good as the promo videos indicate it should do well. I did say its a bit late to the party, but when you see the Mark bass,Tone hammers and TechAmps for sale here - we all get bored quickly and want a change so they are bound to benefit from new year GAS
15. Just wondered while you are doing all this work on the neck - are you thinking, one slip and it goes on the fire
16. Yep had this with a rotosound string also, It helped that the timing meant i could hand it back to the man himself at a show. He told me they never get any trouble with their strings like this. then promptly gave me a replacement
17. Pick me pick me pick me sort of bump
18. It looks like they meant to say use only one 4 ohm cab connected to (20) You can use an 8 ohm cab. It is lost in translation by the look of it. The main twin speakons labelled 20 are designed for one 4 ohm load or two x 8 in parallel. So hence my interpretation they meant to say just one 4 ohm cab in there.
19. crumbs Jan 16 isn't far away. I'd better check how much is in the jar
20. The last two bars of this 8 bar intro are why i play the bass, who else would have thought to do this to complement the piece - plus I have never managed to feel the timing shown here on playing a simple scale, magic. https://youtu.be/W-apaIOOoAo and of course this https://youtu.be/LogVbyzUws4
21. Santa can collect by prior arrangement
22. from your wish list check out Cotswold bass shop they have one sub £600 http://www.cotswoldbassguitars.co.uk/for-sale.htm
23. looks very organic, will probably look like a turtle that's been hit by a speed boat once the top is varnished up Nice lines. may be nice to cut an angle across the finger board to follow the contour from the upper bout to the lower. It is gonna be a fantastic looking bass
24. crumbs you guys are cramming the gigs in - I got the designated drivers job when two women dropped out to take the remaining two to see Elvis in Henley Friday night. AKA Ben Portsmouth + live band Didn't want to go but really enjoyed it, great performance and band were very good. Those Jerry Scheff bass parts well handled. Great night I can recommend
