1. safe TV bet rather than considering those who have bought tickets to see particular style of music - The Darkness are primed ready to go new album etc ?? would have been a better fit could have been worse i guess https://youtu.be/2Z4m4lnjxkY?list=PLYDp0FEwActHo0eLYacIzeM9WosT4tda5
2. been playing this lately amazed at the quality of the bass sounds in here, but need to get down to two. So grab it before it goes to a local shop now £500
3. Can someone explain to me how a passive treble and a passive bass control works ?
4. We played knees up mother brown on one gig, and Mrs Brown who happened to be dancing dropped dead on the dance floor. After the ambulance left and it was decided we should play for the last half hour to ease the tension. But every number we played had some morbid connotation. most songs seem to have heaven in the lyrics or I would die for you, I think by the fourth attempt we were told to call it a day as nobody was in the mood for dancing by then. It's a good thirty years ago but still one we would rather forget.
5. Problem starting out - you don't know what you don't know, so can't sift through advise objectively. from above I would go for cliche lines that you can use to build a mental repertoire that will fit into other songs you are bound to be asked for. so rock n roll 3 chord riffs. Blues standards are always useful + happy birthday, Auld lang syne and god save the queen. and this from Madona you may never play this actual song but it is a great arpeggio workout whilst being a recognisable tune. minor / major forwards and backwards https://youtu.be/7YzW1nMB9fk
6. Gigging this tonight, A Pop covers gig with a new set of round wounds this now down to £1700 to push me one way or tother
7.
I agree with your point, we keep our stage volume as low as possible and drive the sound through front of house to the point that my CN212 is way overkill for most of the time
True - then your Bass to amp gain signal setting goes for a shttt, never seem to get my Mark bass above 9 0'clock
