1. Sold a Yamaha BB1025X to Marcin. Great guy to deal with, all PMs were answered quickly and payment was very fast. Deal with confidence. Thank you
2. Can you get from the Sansamp the same sound on the PA that you get from your combo mix? This is the only issue i can see but it's easilly solved by mic'ing both combos.
3. From memory i can think about two (old models) cabs, the SWR Goliath Jr and the Yamaha 210. There are more out there but i don't remember more ATM.
4. Can you post a pic of the entire body. Maybe finding out the model of that body may shed some light on the pickups that were installed on it. Also mesure the cavity, almost every pickup manufacturer has it's dimentions specced on their sites. As a first blind shot i would say that Bartolinis might fill those holes. The pic is too close for me to judge if either "regular" humbucker or MM-style...
5. Chance dictated that both me and Mike ended up with a Zoom B3 but with the wrong EU/UK PSU plug so a trade was knowcked off in a couple of PM's and PSU's traveled both ways. Mike is a great guy to deal with, all PM's were replied very fast and the PSU arived as described. I would have no problems in dealing with Mike again in the future. Thank you
6. I'm still happily running my Promethean (either combo or just the head with bigger cab) and i've tried most of the heads mentioned in earlier posts. It's an excelent power/size/weight/price relation. Good DI quality and it hasn't missed a beat yet. Newer models seem to be less reliable though!
7. Had a WA wich i used with a BF Midget T (8 ohm operation ~ 180W), never experienced lack of volume, only sold it because i couldn't get enough clean volume without the valve starting to break... if it was today i should have tried replacing that valve for a 5157 that saturates much further up the volume knob... Great tone from that little thing, due to that experience my GAS has been pointing to a Carbine M6, that plus the S12T should sound immense!!!
8. Fantastic bass. I had two of those, only parted with them because i don't get along with 4 strings anymore. On one of them i fitted a humbucker from an american deluxe and rewired it with stacked vol/tone for each pickup, had it been a 5-stringer and it would still be with me. Lovely tone, good construction, nice feel, light and fiesta is the best colour ever. Buy it! Buy it now!
9.
Yep - the 12"s I use have no tweeters, and couldn't be described as flat. Mid-scoop? Nope. Nada. The mids on these are glorious, which is why I love 'em. I detest mid scoop. They're just excellent quality traditional-sounding bass cabs, with a lovely roll-off at the top, but lightweight. The Neo 1126 I had a loan of was much more 'full range studio monitor'-sounding. Not my bag at all, but loaded with a tweeter, the flat-response lovers would probably be right into it.
I see what you mean. Just checked the 2126 and seems that the sound may be spot on my needs and likes but at 25kg (before adding the tweeter and cloth frame) i think i'll stick with my S12T's 19kg and wheels for a bit longer Cheers
10.

Don't know... i like BF because of the flat response. From what i've been reading TKS seems to have a small amount of "colour" (read mid-scoop/bass boost) on it's sound. Maybe i'm wrong. I do love their looks with the silver cloth and that big wood frame around, SEXY!!!
11.
They're not mutually exclusive :-)
Yep but you can't find it all together in other gear and for me weight trumps looks - and i don't think that the cab looks that ugly on stage... does it? ( i haven't tried TKS yet)
12. Still available, £550 shipped to EU/UK with hardcase included. Cheers
13.
I'd like to have a Barefaced cabs rant. I bought a Compact 3 1/2 years ago, followed by a Midget a year later. Neither have ever gone wrong. Not once. Handles are fine, feet firmly attached. They sounded brilliant on day one and sound brilliant today. Moreover I haven't injured my lower back when carrying these to the car/rehearsal space/gigs and back to the house again. Ever. Nor have either ever hit me in the shins, My problem is - how can a man indulge his GAS when there are cabs like this out there that do the job so well? I read posts about other cabs and often fancy trying them but then, next time I use the Barefaced gear, the GAS goes. Bloody useless.
This!!! I would like to try a CN212 or a TKS cab but i'm not willing to sell my S12T just to fund a cab wich i don't know and may come with that horrible, awfull MID-SCOOP that makes my sound dull and boomy... For me sound and weight are king, i traded looks and price in order to get that. The cab may be on the ugly side and one of the handles may be starting to fray but it still sounds good and keeps droping peoples jaws when they hear it (and then the jaw is pushed straight in when they try to pick it up).
14. Yeah, from what i've been reading it looks like 15mm on this one. I'm more used to 17mm but with practise it shouldn't be a problem.
15.
The cognitive dissonance of gear-nerds. "You're not using that handle for its intended purpose" Jokes, innit?
Well... i could pick my cab from the floor with a back bending movement instead of a flecting my legs while keeping my back straight but i wouldn't come to an internet forum rant about the cab because it gave me a serious back injury... or would i??? If things are made to fit a purpose then any missuse of that can't be a reason to complain
16. Hi, i'm looking for some info on this model. I've seen one locally for sale but i know nothing about it and i would like to know if anybody has an idea of the current value of this bass. It's in very good condition, no damage in sight. I would also like to ask how this bass compares to a TRB5P soundwise seen that both are NT modeles with the same pickup configuration (it seem that they might share the same electronics). Any help will be very appreciated, cheers
17. Hey basskit_case i'm on the opposite side, i got a B3 PSU with UK pins and am using it with an adapter UK>EU. If you want and can live without the B3 for a few days we can make a trade, i'll send you my PSU and you send me yours. PM me if interested.
18.
I accept it because the handle is in the best place to wheel the cab around, and I've never bashed my shins.
This! When i want to lift my cab i use the side handles and if i need to carry it for a bit i prefer picking it up with only one hand by one of the side handles. I'm not a strong man but the cab is light so no problem. It happened to me to get hit with the cab on the shins one time i thought i might be a good idea to lift it by the top handle to take it down a flight of stairs... didn't happened a second time though *edited
19.
Won't having casters also have the same effect as putting the cab on a stand to remove any booming?
Only if the stand is just a few cm high and not a gramma pad wich insulates the ressonance bgoing to the floor. Casters aren't that big and they will allow for some floor coupling though not as much as having the entire bottom of the cab in contacto with the floor. Personally i allways try to reduce the coupling on stage, it's not good for me or the band, just boom and no definition on the notes i'm playing. I use a rockstand (combo stand) to raise my cabs (even the barefaced S12T) off the floor, this gives me less boom, sound at ear height and i can use less volume on stage, for me its a win/win/win situation.
20. Trade offers and part-ex will be considered.
21. Interested in a trade for a Wren&Cuff TFR plus settlement? PM me if so. Cheers
22. Quick sale didn't happened so it's back at £550 for a long term sale. I'm also expecting the arrival of a hardcase for this bass.
23. I use my combo on it's own in most of my pub gigs, when i need more volume i take the head out and use it with the Super12T. It's a very handy piece of gear, sounds great too.
