1. Looks like guitarguitar is using the old "in stock but not really in stock" technique... i've e-mailed Peavey UK to find out more about this amp and here's their repply:
Thank you for your email. There is a US version and EU version, unfortunately they are not yet available in Europe and we are hoping early next year.
I'll look in to another thing in the meanwhile. I'm picking a borrowed one tomorrow to use during this period.

 3.
http://barefacedbass...h-barefaced.htm
I'm still loving my S12T btw! I have no intentions of replacing it in a near future, i only wanted to understand the new concept and it sounds good!
 4. Been looking at the new models and i think that they weren't made to be mixed. Example: Super Midget on top of a Super Compact - This would balance properly but the midget is smaller in width and depth. Doesn't look like they're made for each other... Big Baby 2 on top of Super Compact - This seems to me the best pair (on spec) but the BB2 exceeds the SC's dimentions both in width and depth... So, some questions for Alex: Are the new cabs to be used only in pairs of the same model? If they can be mix/matched wich combos would you reccomend? I see an advantage in using a Super Compact as a bottom cab and handling the lows added with a SM or BB2 with tweeter on top for highs. I also know that such rig is already assured by the Big Twin 2 but it lacks the modularity of being able to take just one cab for those small gigs.
 5.
(...) To be honest, though, it seems that its being marketed as a practice aid, not as a multi-fx for live use.
Yep, it looks like it. A friend of mine is getting one for home practise, i'll be able to give it a go
 6.
Always a difference between want and need. Latest and greatest always gets everyones juices flowing, but once the dust has settled theres probably only ever incremental differences....not necessarily better, just differences.
Yeah, buy the newer models! I'm going to keep my S12T, it'll gain in value in the far future as a true vintage Barefaced! LOL
 7. BTW, Stevie, i haven't forgotten about your QSC. I'm still learning about power amps for bass guitar use and i've been offered a power amp on loan from a friend to serve as a stop-gap amp while i choose one for myself
 8. OUCH! A bit expensive compared to the prices on USA!... more than the expected import duty on top... well, at least i know they're also made with 230V PSU.
 9. Just bought a MXR M80+ from Dan. Everything arived as described and works as expected. Was a real pleasure dealing with him. Great comms and fast shipping, couldn't ask for more from this great BCer. Thank you!
 10.
I like the recessed Tweeter/Speakons panel. It's a bit of a faff to get at the one hidden inside the port of my S12T I haven't spotted the question yet, but are the new drivers available as an upgrade to existing cabs, or is there a change in the bracing/tuning arrangements that makes this unworkable?
Looks like he new cabs have different sizes to the old models so the new drivers won't be an upgrade... Alex should pop in soon with more info
 11. Just closed a deal with a Ashly BP41... come on, help me out, i'm already on 2 preamps and no poweramp!!!
 12. It's this one: http://www.peaveycommercialaudio.com/products.cfm/cr/Power+Amplifiers/Pro-LITE+Series/Pro-LITE(tm)+2.0 Anyone knows if it's available on EU/UK and where can it be found? There are some people on TB using them on bass and giving good reviews. The specs look very good, powerfull and light, also very cheap on ebay but i'm only finding units selling in USA (110V). I'm on the market for a power amp after grabbing a old Yamaha PB-1 preamp. I'm looking between Crown and Crest Audio to see if i can find something able to drive my Super12T (4 Ohms). My requirements: Cheap (used is perfectly fine unless it's really worth buying new), 1000W plus at 4 ohms (bridgeable for the sake of weight saving or mono block amp), Light (the PB1 is a bit heavy so i'm trying to save a bit on the amp so i can fit all in one ABS rack) Any ideas are wellcome, i'm inclined for the Prolite if i can find one running at 230V but everything else will be considered. I already have a good offer from Stevie for his QSC 850 but have being readin on the net that QSC hasn't got the same low end response as, say, a crest CA6. I have time to do this purchase so i'm gathering all info i can (it'll be my first pre+amp setup). Cheers
 13.
Can you add a tweeter to the Super Compact?
That would be nice but i think it would simply take the Super Midget out of the market. I'm guessing that Alex has design them to run together just like the older Compact/Midget rig. They share the same width and side porting so they won't look so akward when placing one on top of the other as the old models.
 14. Another great deal with Andy. Everything went smoothly, great communication all the way. Great BCer to deal with. Enjoy your new bass Andy, thank you! Cheers
 15.
Ghost, For me the original Midget was too small and didn't produce enough full, rounded bass tone on its own. The new 112 (Super Compact?) looks like it has plugged that hole in the BF range. I've been very happy with my Bergantino AE112's for over 5 years now, but Alex's new 112's are the first serious competition. I'm watching with a lot of interest. Alex had the new Midget at the bass bash but I didn't get to hear it.
Ah! So the x2 112 BF rig you're talking about is a double Super Compact rig? Won't you miss the lack of a tweeter?
 16.
The good news for me is that there is now a useable 112. I had the chance to hear the new 112 and it sounds very good, although I didn't get the chance to try it with my amp. In talking it through with Alex I could be looking at changing my 3 AE112 cabs for 2 BF112's. Watch this space. Redesigns of product ranges happen all the time. Jim Bergantino is a case in point. That doesn't make previous products redundant. All BF cabs sound great right back to the original Big One.
Do you think that x2 Super Midgets is better than a Super Midget + Super Compact rig? I was under the impression that the Midget/Compact rig would make a nice match, being made with the same driver but with a tweeter on the midget for HF response and a bigger box on the Compact for more low end. I'm also interested in seeing if i should move on my Super12T and get a 3G Barefaced cab(s). How do your bass bashes work? Doesn't anybody takes a video recorder (we do it here, it's mandatory, lol)? We demand to see some videos!!!
 17.
(...) What do you think of the Yamaha?
+1 Tell us, please!
 18. I just can't see a great advantage in a nut like this, if a nut is filed correctly (most of them are) there's not much need to adjust nut height! I would go for the Just-a-nut III example that ikay posted, with height ajustment on each end of the nut we can set the overall height pretty decently.
 19. And the bass is sold and starting its voyage to a new home where it'll be handled properly and gig happily for years to come Thanks Andy
 20.
Pm'd
Answered and may i add ON HOLD for a great BCer
 21. Take a closer look at the pic. The grooves on the screws have different sizes
 22. Did i mention it has a very tight neck joint? BUMP!
 23. http://www.korg.com/PANDORASTOMP Anyone seen/read/heard about these? Could they be a compact alternative for the B3? Am i the only one that thinks that a single switch unit defeats the purpose of a multifx pedal (being able to change between various fx during a song)? What were they thinking?!!
 24.
I wouldn't necessarily class a compressor/limiter as an essential, IMO. My 'essentials' board is tuner, octave, overdrive/distortion & envelope filter. But then everyone is different in their 'must-haves' Si
Another vote for this. I would even get by without the OD aswell as the comp but having that option i'll take them with me. Currently my board has the minumum pedals i have use for live performance (see wich in sig), i don't need more and won't use less.
 25. Just seen something interesting locally so i'll drop the price a bit to see if it helps this move quicker: £370 shipped to you in it's bag or the extra £30 to ship it inside the hardcase.
