Can't do a proper review for now. Had a gig in a very bad room for stage sound plus i had to play almost sitting on my S12T so all the mid/high range was lacking a bit because the tweeter was below my ears. I promisse to make a propoer review when i gig it in better conditions. But i can go ahead with this, the pedal sounds awesome, no bass lost whatsoever. I moved from a Pickle Pie B to this one and even with the clean blend i can say for sure that it hasn't got as much low end as the TFR. I'm loving it, just need to use it in a live situation and be able to hear it.

I have a East and a 3 band Glock at home waiting to go in their basses, i've tried both for comparison and liked the glock more. I'ts versatile and very musical. It needs to be properly maried with the bass like someone wrote earlier, but on the three basses that i've treid them the glock sonded better in all. In the end of the day the East will go on a friend's Geddy Lee and the Glock will either replace the 2 EQ Glock on my Sandberg or will go on my TRB (haven't tried on that one yet). It's all about taste, i find that the aggies are not of my liking and rather have the flat(ish) tone of the Glocks, others will think differently. Cheers

Well... that's odd! Not the part of LG or SF dying, that happens more often that we'd like to hear about it but happening to the same person with days of interval... humm... Could this be a case of a fault with your house's electric instalation? Were they plugged in to the same wall socket when they stopped working?

Can someone please tell me more about the differences in sound of the P vs J on the bridge position? Never had the pleasure os trying a double P config bass.

Go for a Roqsolid cover, they fit perfectly and really protect the cab. Love my S12T, the rumours are all true

I can't see how i can vote on my particular case... I was/am part of a music forum here in Portugal and heard from basschat from a lot of guys over there (friends that i know personnaly and others i've got to know on bass bashes and gigs). I ended joining BC when i found here my current Yamaha TRB5PII for sale at a unbelievable price (in those days the poud/euro rates were good for buying from UK). Never left ever since

I always used 60W soldering irons bought from your equivalent of the pound store. In 15 years only had 3 or 4, now i recently bought a soldering station with controlable temperature, very nice. It's just hard to find tips for it, the ones that came with the unit started to melt early... Use the "melted solder on top of it" aproach, it really works!

It's finally here! More info soon after this weekend's gig. From the first quick trial at home during lunch it looks very promissing. the pedal nails that green muff sound we're all used to hear in our heads

Tell him he can never do that again, once sound check is finished you shouldn't touch the dials on the amp again unless you know exactly what you're doing. This could ruin FOH mix, stage mix and can even cause some bleeding from the backline to the audience wich will affect overall sound. The gtr player should have backed up a bit to hear his guitar better or should have asked for a bit more guitar on the monitor. Raising level on a mic'ed amp results in a raise of volume on the amp, monitor and PA... [/quote] Mesa Walkabout has a DI affected by Master volume, i had to mod mine to have it pre-master.

I have a different opinion of Chris. I own a California VM-5 and had it up against 2 Sads on our last bass bash. One can see that the Sad is a more expensive instrument but not by so much difference. My bass has a flawless fit and finish, everything came prefectly aligned and setup. I had a problem with the pickups on mine (lack of pole pieces grounding) and Sandberg sent new pickups free of charge very quickly. Electronics are very good, the glock is very musical and versatile and doesn´t have a volume drop between active/passive. On passive mode the high knob works as a passive tone control. My bass is the lightest bass i ever owned, lighter than the Ken Smith but doesn't lacks in tone. I would buy a sandberg over a Sadowsky any time, i can´t justify paying the extra 1K. Sandberg necks tend to be a bit chuncky but i like them that way. Probably you can get away with a Genz Benz (shuttle/shuttlemax) amp and Barefaced cab(s). Mind that you'll never find a competly flat sounding rig but from my experience this combination will serve you well.

Can't add another cab. Either keep the 410 or sell it and buy another thing. To be able to use two cabs with that amp each would have to be minimum 8 Ohm.

If the tweeter is indeed blown and you can find a replacement that fits then yes, it's easy to fit a new one. Only a few screws in your way.

[/quote] Yep, don't look at this bass as a P/MM it's more of a P/J but with more on the P and more on the J . Great vintage vibe, the glock pre is very versatile and controled. I love this bass as much as i love the TRB or the Smith, i put it up there with the others in terms of build quality. These germans are flawless
