1. I would play without FX if needed but the essentials for live performance would be the Pitchblack and Multicomp (always on), but the octaver and wah are part of my sound and fundamental in a lot of the lines i play in my current band (soul/funk). The drive/fuzz is the only one i could live without.
2. Ok, thank you. If i sell the cab in the meanwhile i'll be in touch regarding your combo. Good luck with the sale. Cheers
3. You could also consider a Ashdown Mi10 and how lucky are you? I'm selling one at the moment! http://basschat.co.uk/topic/206444-fsft-ashdown-mi10/ 1x10" with power handling of 250W at 4Ohm. Small, light and pretty loud, no low end lost, handles a low B at moderate levels (practise, small gigs). I've used it paired with my shuttle 9.0 with great results. [/shameless plug] Cheers
4. Hi, i have a brand new Ashdown Mi10 cab i'm selling. I'm looking for a combo solution for practises and small gigs after selling my Shuttle amp. The cab is a 1x10" 250W in a 4 Ohm load. Very loud and low, handles my low-B without complaints at practise levels and a bit more. Obviously i'm not saying it's the best cab in the world, it has its limitations like any other single (small) speaker cab in the market. Cab is in pretty much perfect condition with original box and reciept from DV247, only did two rehearsalls and a bit of bedroom practise. DV is selling them at £199, i'm asking for [s]£170 Shipped anywhere in UK/EU[/s] TRADED, THANKS Here are some pics: For trades i'm looking for a small combo, 1x10 or 1x12. Ibanez Promethean P5110 or GK MB-112 (the new model) are on top of my list but i'll consider anything near those two. Thanks for looking, cheers Marco
5.
Nice little boxes these. my first piece of DHA was one of these; if you want a really clean, versatile DI box to stick in your gig bag then Idon't think you'll get much better than one of these.
Yes, very clean sounding. If i don't sell it i don't mind sticking it on the gig bag to serve as a backup in case of amp failure. Cheers
6.
had another go with the TFR russian last night, pretty cool but still not for me the russian muff style is still my favourite from the fuzzes, but i just dont see a place to use it in my music, plus if i ever did get a fuzz, i'd just grab a Fuzzrocious because Ry has always been a dude to me (brand loyalty haha!) if anyone has a Zoom B3 and wants to trade, hit me up
I'll buy your TRF straight away if we agree on the right price PM on the way!
7. Hi, i recently got this pedal in a part-ex with andydye, tried it yesterday and everything works fine. The EQ is very focused and versatile, the "Q" control on the mids is a great feature. I'm selling it because it is surplus to my needs, it comes with a power supply (transformer) included. [s]I'm selling the lot for £65 shipped to EU/UK [/s]SOLD Here's the DHA link: http://www.davehalla....uk/page42.html Thanks Marco
8. TFR and B3K??? Can you please tell me where you live and what's the time of the day that you're away from the house??? Great clip, love the sound, the B3K is another of my goals, in the end i want to end up with Pitchblack, MXR Octave, B3K, TFR, 3Leaf GR, MXR Comp. Can i ask you why did you used the B3K after the TFR (i usualy ise drive before distortion/fuzz)? What would you say are the main diferences between both arrangements? Cheers
9. Thanks for the tip Gaz, i'll have a look in to them.
10. If you can't get a signal boost on the bass's EQ or in the amp's preamp then you can get a Clean Boost pedal, i'm not aware of the best quality/value pedals on the market but somebody will chip in soon.
11. I always liked W&C fuzzes and until recently i owned a Pickle Pie B. It is without a doubt the best fuzz i ever owned but my current band wasn't giving it enough use so i ended selling it to a friend who needed it more than i. Ever since i've sold the pedal i started looking for cheap alternatives but having tried a bunch of stuff in the past nothing would sound so good so i started GASing for the PPB again and in one of my trips to their site i spotted this: Now i have GAS for the TFR instead of the PPB. Anybody knows of any stores selling this pedal in UK? Only dealer i've found were in Sweden and Denmark, both sell the pedal for around 210€ plus shipping. Just want to know if there's anybody else stocking them to compare prices. Cheers
12. Two and half years latter! ...i'm guessin OP should have found his combo by now...
13. I see from your sig that you have two TRB's, that's all the punch you need right there, just a mather of getting a nice compressor to help a bit (the MXR is a great choice). You could also try and adjust the internal trim pots on your TRB preamp, it can give your bass a little bit of extra punch. Everything else can be achieved with EQ. ...but are you really looking for an excuse to buy a new bass? If that's the case i would say, yeah go ahead, you really need a Tobias to sound like that and just in case get a Stingray too!
14. Bump for the much waited pics and part number, i'll consider offering ashipping costs if anyone wants to take the lot of my hands. Cheers
15. Ashdown Mi10 still for sale or trade, £190 OVNO with shipping included. Has original box and reciept from DV247, still under waranty (was bought a couple of monts). Hit me with trade options, i could go for a Darkglas B3K and add some money. Regards Marco
16. Sold a GB Shuttle 9 to Dave. Very fast payment and great communication all the way. I would certainly deal with this great Basschatter again. Recommended Thank you Marco
17.
(...) So, amid the joviality further up this thread, have MM come on this list and asked for posts to be removed because they criticise Musicman products? I know they do that on their board, but have they influenced this one?
I hope not, BC is still a free place for bass players (as long as we don't use the "R" word...)
18. Fantastic bass, the best P-bass tone (fingerstyle) i've heard with lots of thump and an incredible output. Will be greatly missed but had to go to help fund the purchase of the first planck on my sig Was great dealing and chatting with Andy, top BCer
