2.
Will this thread be deleted soon? ;-)
Naaa! BP isn't a BC admin.
3. SHHH*T!!! That's a real shame, good looking bass. Maybe you should post this on EB forum so that other may be aware of this issue...
4.
Nah, do a Mike Paton and crap in his hairdryer. Next time he turns it on he'll get a facefull!
You, Sir, are a genious!!!
5. I would say poo on his carpet, his kitchen table and his dog!
6. This is the kind of stuff that makes me like the stacked, individual vol/tone for each pickup, configuration ('62 stacked J wiring). All is needed are two resistors on the signal going from each pot to the jack to avoid crosstalk between pickups and you're set to go. I find it a very versatile config especially if you stick a .10uf cap on the P and a .022 or .033uf cap on the J.
7. I bought a Ken Smith BSR5M-G from Jens, he was very patient with me whilst i gather the funds for the purchase and bass arived safely and as described. Top seller and a great basschatter. Couldn't reccomend enough! Thanks Jens, regards Marco
8. Boshma on hold, Ashdown Mi10 still available!
9. Price reduction! Need to move this, come on, grab a bargain, it's a new pedal at almost half the price!
10. Mesa Walkabout? Is 300W @ 4Ohms enough?
11.
A mini bass bash to satisfy my own selfish needs, and to link in to a different thread, it could also be a Ford Focus owners club meet!
Well... i drive a Ford Focus and i have a S12T... don't know if i'll be able to drive them all the way to UK for that meeting though...
12. Shuttle 9 sold to Dave, pending the usual stuff. Thanks
13. Hi Dave, i've replied to your PM. Cheers
14. Bump I might consider trade options, not looking for anything in particular exept a Darkglass B3K
15. Bump to add that i can consider trade options. Cheers Marco
16. This thread is like deja vu! My band (also soul/funk) had the same dilemma when we started, first name chosen was FUNKIT (already named here by someone) and there was the chance to play around with the words and make it FUN KIT (also mentioned here). In the end we decided to quit the FUNK or SOUL word games and we simply became GROOVES. What's funny about this thread is that i read the names of a lot of funk/soul bands that are actually playing right now here in Portugal, from memory i recal FUNKENSTEIN, FUNK OFF, FUNK U... there's really no much more room left for funk band names... stop thinking about it and call yourselfs a different thing. From your OP i would say "THE CATS". Cheers
17. Hi, i have three tone pots for a Yamaha TRB bass. I got them by mistake on the store side when i wanted to order only the volume and balance pots to replace in my TRB5PII and they ordered all the knobs used on this bass. The tone knobs are all the same, no difference from Bass Mid or High. they're brand new, still inside the plastic. The parts are original and came directly from Yamaha's customer support. [s]I'm asking for what i payed, £8 for each plus shipping to UK/EU (shipping cost wont be much).[/s] £20 shipped to UK/EU Here's a pic: Part number: AAX14680 Thanks Marco
18.
PM!
And answered!
19. This bass is now sold to andydye, and is beginning its journey to make another BCer very happy. Thanks for everybody who chipped in on this thread. Cheers Marco
20.
Thanks dude, it sounds really lovely in the mix there! Really vintage-y warm p sound, how is it for 'mwah' factor?
The "muah" factor is what can be expected from a split coil, not close to what can be obtained from a bridge J pickup but unplugged it's all there. I believe that adding a pickup on the bridge position will make this a monstrous bass but i can't bring myself to take a router to this bass, it just sounds right as it is cheers
21. I think i got it now
22. Hi, this is the only recording i have from it but i played it in a more "normal" way without doing tremolos or slides. Please disregard the content of the recording in anything musically related, it was only a first recording of the theme just to set the structure of the song EDIT: i attached a mp3 file to this post but i think it doesn't work. any clues as how can i do it?
23. The bass has been sold a few weeks back, i'm sorry for not updating the thread. Thank you
24. Thanks for all the good comments. I'm now accepting trade offers but there's got to be some cash comming my way whatever the trade. I'm not really looking for a specific peace of gear appart from a Darkglass B3K but try me with anything, worst case scenario is me saying no Cheers
