Coupla q's... What's the current state of play regards the pick-up cover - fitted or not? holes in scratchplate or not? - and also what I presume is a string muting type thingumeebob - fitted or not? If not, any sign of it's presence? Oh and how does the scale length affect string choices? Cheers.
Read the post again
just to make it clear, I don't have the bassmute or pickup cover that is in some of the pics
It has a scratchplate, the bass looks exactly how it does in the first picture plus a black knob for the Villex. Ped used sticky pads to put the mute and pickup cover on I think, there's absolutely no indication that they were ever there. Hope that helps.

Cheers ped!
Superb Jazz - don't be put off by the fact it is 36" - It feels every bit as comfortable as any 34" I have played, and everyone who played it did not even notice - I have played 35"s that felt noticeably 'longer'. It gives the bass extremely good feel and just makes you want to dig it all day!!
Yes I'd be inclined to agree. The only difference I can feel is the obvious one of having a fifth string!

Fantastic bass this, easily the best jazz I've ever owned. Am only selling as I don't really get on with having five strings, my hands are much more comfortable with four. Pics and specs: This used to belong to Ped and he's allowed me to use his pictures Bacchus 02STRONG EXT-36 Jazz Bass Completely hand made, two piece ash body, 3 piece maple neck with laminates, 36", 6 bolt tongue/groove joint. Pearl binding around bidy/neck, MOP block inlays 18mm spacing at bridge 2 piece bridge piece Bartolini BC soapbar pickups and NTMB pre-amp Villex booster circuit very nicely figuired fingerboard (Jacaranda) and top (flamed maple) Fitted hard case You can find more pictures here but just to make it clear, I don't have the bassmute or pickup cover that is in some of the pics. Oh and there are some sound samples knocking about somewhere too. Sounds awesome, like a jazz but with balls! the pickup blend lets you dial in totally different sounds and I can even coax a musicmany/wal type sound out of it. It has a 36" scale which makes the bottom B nice and tight. It's also worth pointing out again that this has a Villex passive booster installed. Hard to describe what it does but the best I can do is to say that it just squeezes more tone out of the bass. There's plenty of reviews in the reviews forum here. It's in excellent condition, the only damage I can see is a bit of buckle rash on the back as the wood is unfinished. I'm located on the Wirral but can also be in Chester if that's any easier. Pickup/tryouts are welcome! Oh and if anyone would like it, I can provide them with my ebay feedback, which has 50+ sales, all 100% positive feedback. Think thats it....

I think if have the bass right under your chin like Mark King does, that'll sort the neck dive out

Cooooool My Fleabass should be with its new owner today, I miss it already

You really need to do your homework before you buy something from here. The only problem I've ever had here was from the buyer not even reading up on the specs of the bass I sold him! Caveat emptor....

Remaining completely neutral here - There's two sides to every story, I think the other party should have a chance to have a say, if they wish to that is!

Don't remind me about those, I'm one of those people who got his money fleeced! A guy I got in touch with offsite bought something like £15,000 worth of PA gear from him that never showed up. One of the excuses was 'I have cancer so can't make them', well I hope he's f*cking dead. Anyway, your decription sounds fine from what I remember........I never did fully believe the 1200 watt rating though?

I'm looking to downsize my rig as I'm no longer in a band and am also moving into a flat, which calls for something smaller. Am looking to trade for another high end combo or head and cab. I'm thinking along the lines of markbass or a Gallien Krueger Neo setup. Bought the combo last year, it's been gigged once and that's about it in terms of use so I'd say it's in near mint condition. Sounds superb, easily the best combo I've owned so far. Very light too for an amp of this size and it also comes with castors. Pic from eden website:

Looking to shift these as a pair. Firstly, a cheap fretless P-bass copy that I picked up from ebay last year. I played it a couple of times and came to the conclusion that fretless isn't for me. Ever since then it's just been sitting around completely unplayed. It's a lined fretless and it could do with a set up, but as I said, it was cheap so you get what you pay for. It's more or less mint condition. It came with a gig back so I'll include that too. Also have a Laney HCM-65B combo amp. A good few years old now but is still in full working order. It's a great practice amp and loud enough to jam with a guitarist. Here's the manufacturers spiel: The Laney HCM65B features a set of Active & Passive inputs, on-board compressor, three band EQ - including a swept mid, CD/Line input for connecting an external sound source such as a CD/Mini disk player for playing along to your favorite track / tuition CD and a DI socket for supplying a Direct Inject signal for an external power amp or direct to the PA. The HCM65B also comes with equipped with an external speaker socket when an increased bass reponse is needed and a headphone socket when practice dictates a late night. Featuring a 12" Custom designed driver the HCM65B produces 65 watts RMS of pure bass power. These are just sitting around gathering dust, so someone can have them both for £100. Collection from Wirral/Chester.

I don't suppose anyone has any contact details for the user owen3371? Two weeks ago, he said that he'd buy my Fleabass from me and that he'd send me a cheque. I gave him my address but then sent him another pm shortly afterwards telling him that I'm away staying at relatives until the new year and that sending me a cheque now might not be a good idea. Got no reply. I sent another PM a few days later saying that if he likes, he can send the cheque to where I'm staying rather than waiting until I get home. Got no reply. I get home on monday to find that there's a cheque for £1000 sitting on my doormat. So I send another pm saying 'I've got your cheque, I'll post the bass once its cleared'. Got no reply. I then realise that even if I do bank the cheque, he hasn't given me an address to send the bass too! I now send him an email through the email system thats on here asking if he's gotten any of my previous messages and that I need his address. No reply. There must be some sort of problem his end, becuase if I'd had sent £1000 to someone I'd sure as hell be wanting to make sure that the person i've sent it to hasn't run off with it!
