Hi, Sadowsky say 4.0 kg My bathroom scales agree!

Wonderful example - screams 90s but in a good way. I did previously list and sell this, unfortunately the weight was slightly over my estimate and this was a key factor for the buyer so we reversed the trade. Since then I've swapped out the bridge (so it's even heavier now!) which has made a real improvement on the feel and sound. It's got a bit more mass to it if that makes sense. Currently strung E-C but was B-G when I got it and worked really well that way round too. In the interests of full disclosure there is a small chip out of the nut on the E/B string slot. All seems fine and stable etc, just want you to be aware. I can ship it, well packed in a basic gig bag if you wish - shipping is on top of the price though. x

Fab fretless. This is the basic Garry Willis model (or Harry Willis as my autocorrect seems to want to call it) but has been significantly modded by a previous owner. As you can see the finish has been taken back to the basic wood grain on the body and ramp. I like it but if I were keeping it I suspect it would look even better with some oil or similar to finish it off. Anyway, beauty is in the eye of the beholder... Also upgraded is the pickup to a nordstrand blade. This is technically a 4 string pickup but the sizing is fine for bass (spacing is around 16.5mm so narrowish) and all works fab. Now has an Aguilar OPB2 in as well. Very similar set up to the original although I think there may have been a push/pull on the volume for passive bypass that has gone with the Aguilar. Never bothered me - the bass sounds great. I'm only looking to move this as there is another fretless that I'm keen on and I won't need two. If that goes then I'll withdraw or happy to talk px on other fretless I suppose if you wanted to downsize with some cash... anyhoo you get the jist of it! Set up B-G with a low action and flat relief, nickle rounds - it plays fab. Personally I'm not a big fan of narrow spacing but it just seems to work on this bass. Great design. But then I do like a bit of Harry Willis.... Shipping is possible - I'll pack it well in a basic gig bag. Add that onto the cost though... x

Picked this up in a trade recently. I thought I was looking for a 'superjazz' and bizarrely whilst this really does tick all the boxes in that regard I'm just not bonding with it. I think I need passive basses tbh. Main specs are: 34 scale 19mm spacing 44mm nut Neck is flat and wide. I like it but it's a noticeable profile let's say. I've set the bass up with a medium-low action, almost flat neck profile and restrung with new ernie ball rounds. It is ridiculously easy to play. Pickups and bridge upgraded by the previous owner. Bart b-axis. Lightweight - I'd have to check but it weighs significantly less than my 4 string P bass. Will Lee pre-amp - so has the adjustable mid switch and rear dip-switches to set frequency and boost level. Sado preamp - bass/treble boost, vintage tone with active passive push/pull. Review by Lars is here: When the pickups have been changed I think they were wired back to front on the blend. Clockwise/forwards blends the bridge pickup and opposite for the neck. This feels the wwr to me but perhaps Sadowsky experts can confirm this is the norm? Anyway, not a biggie I just mention in the interests of full disclosure! A screw is missing from the B string tuner. Does not affect operation in any way other than the tuner will drop out when you remove the string. I did contact Sadowsky to see if you can buy replacements but the only to the whole tuner and I haven't gotten over to screwfix for an alternative yet. Previous owner had stickers on the neck. I have removed with 99% success. Close up you can see some marks but it is marginal at best. Fingerboard is totally clean and plays a dream. Happy to sell but also happy to trade. Re the latter let me know what you've got, basses only though unless anyone has an Ampeg PF50T they want to px.... could poss add cash on px too…. x

A few hopefully helpful points to add here: 1) re the FX loops you can use the second in/out as an fx loop and the route the mod signal to position your signal chain accordingly 2) for those who don't know in addition to fx and modelling the mod system also contains tone generators - essentially midi instruments, so you can link it with keys or other midi controllers for synth bass, organ, piano etc of the variety of stuff available not all of it is great but a lot of it is - I used to gig with one using some really nice synth bass and organ patches run out through my amp 3) the dwarf functions as a midi host as well as a midi client, so you can plug all kinds of gear in to expand it, keyboards, memory, bluetooth midi It's actually a pretty incredible device in terms of the functionality it offers and the sound quality is very, very good. Most definitely not a toy. Acid test for me on any fx gear is how good the OC2 clone sounds and I'd score the dwarf a solid 7.5 or maybe 8.... I was very happy with mine but the drawback, and the reason that I stopped using it, is that you need to link to a screen (PC or tablet) in order to construct and see your patches. Great doing that at home and you don't need to link a screen to use the audio, however if you need to see and dive into anything on a gig it becomes complex. Overall though a truly brilliant bit of kit and something different, not just another version of a stomp in a different box. Also worth noting it's built like a tank, really great quality. GLWTS
