1. Sort of a bongo/Stingray cross.. Hate the bridge
 2. Still better looking than a Thunderbird
 3.
They're for people who like the Fender style but actually want a really good one.
4.
Poor you Hope it works for you
Thanks.. it's the bloody snare drum that's doing me in ..
 5. Last night at rehearsal was the final straw for me - have ordered a pair of the Flare ear thingies...
 6.
I didn't say anything about UK sales figures. I based my statement on what is shown in the For Sale section of this site and it is perfectly valid within the context of the recent discussion. Not only that, but anyone can check it out for themselves and dispute the figures if they want: there are ten times as many used Bareface cabs being sold on this forum than Bergantinos. This shows that molan's claim is not unreasonable. On the other hand, if you're going to claim that more Barefaced cabs have been sold than Bergs, you really need to produce the figures, otherwise you run the risk of looking like a real tit.
And what I'm saying is that your statement, though true, has no relevance to the relative "stickiness" of Berg cabs vs Barefaced . There are more BMW's for sale on Autotrader than Infinitis. That does not make BMW's a fad and the Infiniti the long term professional owners choice... How does pointing this out make me look like a real tit? I'm the person trying to apply some logic to the situation. I've never understood why some folk absolutely love Barefaced and other people hate them. They're just pretty standard (but excellent) drivers in a box. Just like the bergs.. And the Bergbois started the flame war, not anyone else... And I did not claim, I said, suspect.... But with only two retail outlets selling Bergs in the UK and Alex having a factory with 5-6 people in it in the UK, with the UK being his historically more important market, it's not a bad guess. Also I see many more Barefaced cabs than Bergs in the wild... Peace..
 7. Where are you based ? On phone so no location given
 8.
In the interests of fair play, I've just trawled through the For Sale section on here. There are about ten Barefaced boxes for every one Bergantino. I have to admit, I stopped at about the second Bergantino - but you get the idea. It certainly backs up molan's statement. Not that this surprises me, as molan is one of the few knowledgeable contributors to this part of the forum.
Unless you have the new UK sales figures for bergatino vs barefaced this is meaningless.. I suspect that far more barefaced cabs have been sold than bergs but am happy to be corrected ..
 9. I thought Rogers playing was fantastic.... Reminds me in some ways of Eric Czars days with Joe Bonamassa
 10.
That's the one.
He's recently changed bass player who appears to be a P bass player :-) he's also added keys..
 11.
Depends how seriously you take 'the look' and whether you think it matters to the audience you usually play too. Perhaps not an entirely relevant anecdote, but I recently watched a video of a blues trio. The music was great, the singer and guitarist is a young guy dressed normal and playing a Les Paul. I'm sure the bass player was fantastic, but he was playing a modern looking six string and it just jarred! Looked wrong and I thought the same thing every time the bass came into the shot. Didn't change the music though, so how important is look?
Laurence Jones ?
 12.
When I [had to] play in a classic rock band I used a Status Streamline more often than not......so I'm in the 'who gives a rats....' category.
"had to" ? community service order again?
 13.
molans attitude has of course absolutely nothing to do with the fact that he runs a shop and BF are mainly a direct seller.
Interestingly I got the same vibe from Mark at BassDirect...
 14. Frankly I don't think anyone in the audience gives a cr*p about the bass I'm playing unless they're another bass player... I play a Dingwall Z3 or ABZ5 in my classic and contemporary rock covers band... Which is about as much off piste as you can get..

 16.
I don't think the "everything three grand!" Shop will ever take over Poundland, everything a pound!
:-)
 17.
Hi, I'm in Til Dawn, and I play solo too. How about you?
BiteBack.. reasonably new - we're doing ok for bookings at the moment..
 18. Also selling a 2012 laptop for 3k as well :-)
 19. Sits between the Affinity and VM/CV models. What else did you want to know ? £120 is about half of what it probably went for new ..Don't think it's a current model. I've not played one. If you have and like it, buy it.. hard to go wrong .
 20.
Still available, i definitely has to sell it , fantastic amp but i could not even more keep it
Can you post photos? Or send to me at [email protected]
 21. No one is forced to buy one... I certainly won't be buying a Fodera of any kind.. A sadowsky perhaps...
 22. I'm sure Fodera would argue quite strongly that they're at custom shop level. The point I was trying to make is that you can get a better bass (not Fodera) for half the price of a current (especially with the recent price hikes) MIA fender.
 23. They're Fender inspired so why not do the same with pricing? :-)
 24.
Banbury (my hometown) has always had a strong live pub band scene, but recently it has started to tail off. Fewer pubs in town are booking bands, favouring instead acoustic solo performers or duos, or even stand up comedy. This time last year my band had a diary of local pub gigs covering the whole year, at 2 - 3 gigs a months. This year we currently have just two booked. It's concerning.
I'm banbury based as well - what band are you in?
