1. My sides have split from laughing my a**e off :-)
ouch!!!! such a shame, i thought the arrangement of Crazy sounded excellent.. would love to hear it properly!
2. +1 I have a lightweight (RH450/Barefaced S12T) rig which can go as loud or as quiet as I'm ever going to need.. OK, it would be a pain on public transport, but there is no public tranport where I live that goes anywhere useful at a sensible frequency...
+1. I'd love to turn up at a gig with just a POD or something but at the many of the local gigs I've done over the years it's vocal PA only, sometimes with no monitors at all. When I played in London a lot (many years ago) it was a large PA for everything...
3. Any photos? Cheers Mark
  4. me too...
Not been to a bass bash yet so I would be up for that.
5. Apparently not as the listings have been yanked :-)
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fender-Squier-Precis...=item2a114f4300 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fender-Squier-1968-r...=item2a1152168e
6. I think the default is 128 kbps - having been caught out with my H1 this way before :-) 320 kbps seems to be fine though..
I must check the MP3 settings, but for sure it was way too compressed
7. A friend of mine has a Peavey thru neck jobbie that he thinks was pretty dman good for the money (about £400 I think) - and he's got a pretty impressive bass collection to ground this assessment..
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...#ht_9243wt_1139 That. And no, it isn't mine. Plenty of other S/H warwicks are going for £500 and less, and the proper german made ones too, if you can get a $$ I'd recommend that too.
8. Maybe worth asking the seller for the serial number and get Alex Claber to check it was not "left behind" at a gig instead
That's just bizarre!
9. Earth calling Alex Claber :-)
  10. It's got a couple of skate wheels on the back, so effectively a tilt back with the top handle..
It says in the spec that the super 12t has wheels. Are there 2 or 4 wheels? If 2 is it a tilt back with a handle? Anyone got any pics? Cheers Thebassman
11. I have exactly the same rig and could not be happier (for now) ...:-)
Stefano, I use my RH450 with a Barefaced Super Twelve T (2x12) and couldn't be happier. The cab weighs in at a little over 40lbs and, together with the amp, is the finest sounding combination I've owned in thirty years of playing. Got mine made with the 'old skool' silver cloth option and it looks the dog's too!
12. Welcome to the Dark Side :-)
Hi All, Following the purchase of a TC Electronic rig, now up for sale is my EBS rig consisting of a HD-350 head, a Proline 410 cab and a Proline 115 cab. All in excellent condition, well cared for and loved. I've adored using this rig over the past four or so years but now's time for a change and an increase in gigs and a recurrent knee problem is forcing me to downsize. Tonally, it's loud, clear, crisp, punchy and transparent but capable of real crunch and warmth due to the fantastic drive channel. It's never failed to make me smile when I've played the first few notes at sound checks. Just a truly fabulous rig and easily the best kit I've ever owned. It's loud and articulate and I've NEVER struggled with being heard. The 350w is somewhat conservative. And some. I'd ideally prefer collection because of the weight and size but maybe flexible with meeting somewhere mutually convenient for a contribution to travel costs. Looking at a straight sale on the items individually or as a whole because, to be honest, there's not a lot I'm needing for trade wise. However, if you've a nice RoadWorn (plus cash) or 70's Precision, I could be interested. Specs and prices as follows (As always, if I am way off, please PM me with your advice): EBS HD-350 Head - £550 Input Impedance - 1 Mohms Frequency Response - 35 - 20.000 Hz Maximum Compression Ratio (Compressor) 3:1 Tone Controls Bass +/- 15 dB @ 100 Hz Middle +/-12 dB @ 50 - 3000 Hz, Q=0.5 Treble +/- 15 dB @ 4 kHz Bright -0/+20 dB @ 10 kHz Drive Control Gain - 0-30 dB Drive Type - Solid State Other Features - Character filters, Phantom power, Effects loop and Balanced Output Minimum speaker impedance - 2 ohms Dynamic Output Power - 350 W RMS Continuous Output Power - 300 W RMS Dimensions (W x D x H) - 19" x 13" x 2U (48cm x 33cm x 9cm) Weight - 9 kg / 20 lbs I can supply the head in an SKB ABS 4U case. SOLD

Need to list a price as per forum rules.... Cheers Mark
It is with much regrets and a hefty bill that I need to pass this onto a new owner. To start off, this is an amazing bass and will satisfy any needs (not sexual, but yes to sensual). It's all black with an: Ebony board, Rosewood tuning pegs, Neckthrough, Hipshot bridge, GB pickups, Legendary tone, Legendary playability, Straplocks. If you haven't play a GB Rumour... WHY NOT????? Only 2 all black Rumours have been made and this is one of them. MINT condition, only a few finger prints to be used for forensics. I can't upload some pics coz they're too big so please just ask me Jim 07739969811
14. To solve a slightly different problem I use a heavy duty (300 kg rating) sack trolley with 8x2 inch pneumatic tyres... Although not foldable, it can move stuff over any surface including grass/gravel and I use bungies to hold the load in place.. Cost about £25....
I bought a set of these (ebay item number 120712190969) and put them on my peavey 4x10 I can push the cab with one finger, very good quality wheels
15. Given that they don't even have their own domain name and host here http://www.t35.com/ I'm more than a little suspicious
Yes, perhaps the gareth who's posted on this thread should warn the gareth who started that thread to be very wary. Or am I getting my gareths mixed up?
16. Any need to post this twice? Either it's your band and say so, or your doing the viral thing in a very weird way...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViplvX8pgbA...feature=related
17. Having run my keyboards through my super 12 T I can confirm that it sounds better than a Mackie 1521Z... Keyboards need something very close to hi-fi reproduction in order to reproduce (for instance) a steinway piano sample in a faithful way..
  18. that's a wonderful bass and if I had the money.......... Have a bump on me..
  19. You could always turn the input gain down on the Ampeg, unless it's obviously clipping then it's going to be fine... Or assuming the Yamaha active electronics are electrically quiet could also turn that down a little :-)
In this instance, I'll refer you to my earlier comments. When the -15db pad isn't engaged, the output from the Yamaha through the Ampeg is OVERWHELMINGLY LOUD! I might try it next time out, but I don't want to risk blowing one of my Warwick when I'm only using one-even with the limiter on constantly. I don't exactly buy top dollar gear, but I do try to look after it. The only thing going against the Hartke is that it weighs 23.1 lbs, whilst the Ampeg only weighs 7.8 lbs; which is important considering I've a glass back. Also, it's a shame having a flightcased 500 watt amp that isn't being given the full use it demands and deserves. Ah! Dumelow! Hats off to the man who piqued my interest in these lovely cabs in the first place! Cheers! If you're after a 4 ohm 4 x 10", the PF-350 should go nicely with either the TC Electronic BC410, the Marshall MB410 or the Ampeg B-410HF I think. Ta for the feedback everyone!
20. Just bought an AW2 from Andy.. He explained that he'd been having personal issues (which I believe) but once we started communicating it all went as promised.. I'm a great believer in how people make things right when they go wrong, and Andy has shown that he does... Regards Mark
  21. I've had some LD Stinger 15A's for a while. bought from Thomann so I don't need to deal with LD.. One of them was delivered damaged by parcel crusher force, thomann replaced without a murmur.. Wooden build, Eminence Kappalite 3015/BMS tweeter, B&O Class D 500W.. they sound excellent, and at 60 odd lbs pretty portable.. I use them as a Stereo keyboard rig so I'm quite fussy.... They're very clear and loud.. see here... http://www.thomann.de/gb/ld_systems_ldeb_152a.htm
I'd steer clear of LD Systems all together.... had too many issues with them in the past.... and their customer service is non existent!
22. I like the fact JPJ used one for nearly a month :-) It must be the bees knees then ..
  23. Sure, not arguing about this :-) But bear in mind TC are a danish company who are aware there is a rest of the world with different plugs/voltage/Hz AC power rather than a US company continuously surprised that there is an outside world, and that it's not all like California :-)
Automatic switching is quite clever to be fair to TC as the Genz is manual on the back and some others have to be opened up to be switched over so fair play to TC unless there is an argument from the others for it being another part that can fail that 99% of us will never use unless you take you amp to a 120v country? Sorry if its gone a bit OT and it looks like most class D amps (If not all?) have a switch mode power supply that can be switched between voltages easily which will probably just add fuel to the fire next time someone buys another piece of gear and says well their amp can run on either and it says in the UK spec list that it can so it must be able to. Your post highlighted the problem perfectly when you said what the specs were markstuk because thats exactly what some Mesa boogie buyers had done! Costly fail
24. "If the SMPS has an AC input, then the first stage is to convert the input to DC. This is called rectification. The rectifier circuit can be configured as a voltage doubler by the addition of a switch operated either manually or automatically. This is a feature of larger supplies to permit operation from nominally 120 V or 240 V supplies." I think this is probably a common feature of switched mode power supplies...
Clever beggers at TC aint they, I wonder whats inside?
25. Why not link to the bass in question?
not my most popular thread ...
