1. Don't get fixated on just the power.. The efficiency of the speakers is as, if not more, important... A 3db improvement in efficiency is equivalent to doubling the amp power output.. And it's not uncommon for there to be >10 db efficiency differences betweens different speaker setups. I'd focus on how loud, at what frequencies, in what size room and how many people in the audience.. Cheers Mark

Cheers Mark
I have just given Steve a call about a possible problem with my amp. He gave me some great advice about things to try without asking me to bring the amp in on some wild goose chase. Thanks Steve !
9. or "I'm too loyal" :-) and "My Prince 2 certification means that projects always go well" :-) Both of these answers usually end an interview :-) Mark

 11. +1 :-)
Both my Rickenbacker 4001's - if I'd known how much people would pay for these terrible planks in years to come.....
12. I'm in Stratford upon Avon... I feel a strange sense of inevitability coming over me :-) Mark
 13. Where are you based? Depending on some cash coming in over the next wseek or so, I might well be tempted by this... Cheers Mark
The two main things about it is that it gives the lower strings higher tension and that it supposedly follows the natural arc of your wrist as you play. They do feel very natural, but even taking the fanned fret into account, they're still pretty long. Though the necks on the Dingwalls I've tried have been amazing.
14. We use Scarf joints pretty much exclusively in wooden glider repairs.... However, how strong does it need to be? Cheers Mark
 15. Does it have a case ? Cheers Mark
 16. Hi, On behalf of our drummer who wants to clear his shed out... One Cort G200 Strat ... It's it very good nick from what I can see... Say £75? He'll include a warwick gigbag and postage would be about a tenner I would think..
 17. Hi, On behalf of our drummer who wants to clear his shed out... One Chase Jazz style bass... It's in reasonable nick from what I can see... Say £40? He'll include a Tribal "semi" hard case for £20 and postage would be about a tenner I would think..
 18. +1... Consider how much they get shaken around when you're playing a low B through them :-)
 19. Obviously hewn from a single piece of Rosewood... I've emailed him to confirm that this is the case but have not heard back yet :-) I did say I was very interested and wanted the model number and serial number as well :-)

 22. I'll open it up later and take a look..... Cheers Mark
 23. Hi, This keeps loosening itself and creating hum on the input side.. Simplest thing would be to replace it with the same component from Ashdown (a fiver) but is there a better 1/4" solution that would fit? Cheers Mark
 24. Nice easy swap.. great bloke.... Cheers Mark
