1. Welcome.. Corsica is a lovely place - had a great holiday there a few years ago...
 2. Link to a review here.. :-) http://www.xotic.us/reviews/XJ1T_VintageGu...Guitar_xj1t.pdf
 3. You should always have a spare one, two or few?? :-) I've got four rigs and manage to use all of them :-) In the spirit of greater detail I'll elucidate further.. Practice with an Ashdown MAG300/15 (Eminence loaded) Small gig/need to go louder I add a MAJ 1 x 15 or 1x 12 to the MAG300. Proper rig is Ashdown RPM1/APM1000 and Warwick Terminator cab. As backup I have a Behringer V-Amp XT Pro and Amcron Geodyne II. Plus other cabs and I can mix and match as needed (or leave stuff behind between practices).. So in real terms I have two core setups, but I have options is case something goes down..
I've just got the one atm, but seriously tempted to get a lightweight rig too for practices and small gigs. My current rig is my dream rig, it's just a royal PITA to lug a 1kw head and a 4x10 to practices, very tempting to get a micro head and 2 small cabs (maybe 2 neo 1x12s). Please just tell me I'm being stupid and I only need one amp.
4. Is the T-Rex Squeezer a very large pedal then? :-)
Chester being the Mecca of pedals obviously! Both guitar shops I can think of there have very little pedals in stock.
5. I can bridge my APM-1000 (although only into 8 Ohms) But the whole point is that it is two completely seperate power amps (see pic) and meant for bi-amping (although having two power switches is a little unneccesary)
1000 watt amps that are actually two 500 watt amps that can't be used in mono(Ashdown/Trace Elliot). Still love my Fafner though!
6. Beyma? PD? Volt? B&C? The Kappalite 3015HO is a nice driver for the money.. The key is to avoid a dedicated sub design I would think.. But unless you've got a big XMAX you're simply going to convert all those watts into heat and farting noises... Also you'd need to match it to your cabinet...
 7. PIcture fixed :-)
 8. Nice bit of gear.. I sympathise, I have a Road Ready case for my Yamaha Motif ES8 - that's a pig to move as well :-) And I've got a flighcased Warwick Terminator cab... :-) There's a theme developing here :-)
 9. u8ng tXt Sp8ch wuld B bttr??
 10. Mesa web site says about 90 KG - are you trying to make things hard for yourself? :-)) http://www.mesaboogie.com/Product_Info/Out...bass8x10-LG.htm cheers Mark
 11. Sorry... :-)
Damn i've got gizmo GAS now
12. Cheers - I'll go and compare specs... Anyone got any experience of the H1? Mark
For about the same price as a used H2 you could get the new Zoom H1
13. Cheers folks. Sounds like you've had pretty positive experiences overall.. So i'll keep my eye out for a second hand H2, H4N or DR1/DR100 Thanks again... Mark
 14. Does anyone have experience with "Handheld" recorders like the Zoom H4N or Tascam DR1/DR100/DR07 ? As a standalone rehearsal recorder they would seem to be a great idea, assuming they work as advertised.. Thoughts/Opinions welcome ... Cheers Mark
 15. Oh, and really quiet (electrically) as well... Makes such a difference when you plug in and it's quiet..
I have an Ibanez SR765 and am in the somewhat long winded process of exchanging a BTB470 for a BTB555... I've had Fender J's ("proper MIA ones") and Rickenbacker 4001's.. Prefer the SR to all of the them.... Wide range of tones, great neck. built really well (my SR is one of the last MIJ ones) - what's not to like except the the badge..? Mark
16. USA made - one pre CBS the other post.. This was back in the days of the late 70's/early 80's...

 18. It's going to be the VAT on the declared value (HMCE have access to price lists and can penalise you for making a stupid under-value declaration) plus the relevant duty charge (usually not very much for electronic goods).. They've got much much smarter over the past 2-3 years....
Hey, I was just wondering if anyone has had experiences with importing cabs from America? what are the custom charges etc..?
19. My last experience with a Sound City 200 Watt Head was watching it blow up whilst our keyboard player was sitting on it .. This was 1979 though.. Laugh, I nearly stopped breathing :-) And there was this nice Punkette I met that night, but that, as they say, is a different story :-)
 20. That's quite cool.. Have a bump on me..
 21. See what happens when you go and play all that fancy stuff? Although a drummer making that judgement call must be somewhat galling? :-)
Turns out the drummer didn't like my basslines and instead of discussing it with the band decided to advertise for a bassist... Still going along tonight to discuss face to face (last practice I was experimenting and trying to write basslines aswell as being short of a guitarist) and hopefully re-install his faith in me. Fingers X'd... It has NOT been a good day!
22. And count them, not one, but two at least, cables...
Yes, but you get a Razorlight book.
23. Eminence Kappalite 3012HO's ? Light, Efficient, good power handling (400W RMS) and 6.2 mm Xmax... About £115 each including VAT from Blue Aran... I've bought stuff a few times from them.. Usually very quick...
 24. Claudia, Do you have an example (say on youtube) that you could point us at to get some idea of what effect you're looking for? Cheers Mark
