  1. I’m probably being a bit thick, but what do the (X)’s indicate.
  2. I’m so glad I don’t do NYE gigs anymore. I barely escaped before midnight at a gig I did last years NYE before the place erupted which would have put us back loading out by about an hour. The offset of the ‘extra money’ to my mind just isn’t worth the hassle. Singist needs a kick up the proverbial. Just no excuse for that. I had the exact same thing happen at a function gig to my USA J. A wire was in the process of detaching from the jack socket. Hope you get it sorted.
  3. Hi @macieq. Where are you located/shipping from?
  4. There are a few points that are lacking in the OP’s comments. Is the band leader either of these couple? If not, what do they have to say about it? Have you mentioned that her time might be better served getting her keys playing to a higher standard? Sounds harsh, but that would be my response. Has she said why? This would be my first question. There is no reason to go down this path if you are a functioning band that’s getting gigs. It just doesn’t make any sense other to serve this persons ego. I’ve been in bands which have couples in them and they have been a complete joy. I’m still in one and they are a fantastic pair. I accept other people’s mileage may vary here, but couples in bands are not always doom and gloom. Sometimes it can be a good thing. Personally I think you’re making a rod for your own back by giving advice re gear etc. This will only fan the flames of someone who clearly must believe they can do a job as equal if not better than you. If she thinks she can have a go on bass and not be up to your standard, that’s kind of worse. Sorry, but I have little time for these wannabe types. In every band I’m in, I want them to be the best possible version they can be. The scenario you describe does not fit that mantra and therefore does not compute for me at least.
  5. Pacific Peach is not a colour I could live with. Any another colour I’d be fine with those specs.
  6. There is a photo of the original owner playing it in 1966 with that guard on it, so maybe not 🤷‍♂️
  7. For that coin, I would expect a bit more info than they have given on their web site. They acknowledge there is an issue with the tone pot, so I would want to see some gut shots.
  8. Presumably he already has some extras, but worth considering maybe…. Peterson Strobe Tuner Levy’s Leather Strap Dunlop Strap Locks Guitar Care Kit (oils/cloths etc)
  9. I have to be honest, I can’t be ar$ed to read it. If he was that bothered, he would put an order process in place. I guess that would just be a little too much work for $600+ a pedal.
  10. Erm….yes, quite.
  11. Nice. Sounded great.
  12. I thought that was a bit odd. Strange decision that. Do you know what Pat’s red bass was? Sorry to keep picking your brains 😂
  13. On the train home from Extreme supported by Living Colour at The Forum, Kentish Town. Great performances by both. Excellent sound. Extreme clocked in at almost two hours, but a well paced show. Pat played a blinder. I believe they are back there later this month. Tonight was sold out. Not sure if the other date is. Just made the last train at Liv St before the strike kicks in.
  14. Not sure if anyone here was planning on going or had already bought tickets, but we've had to cancel due to illness. No one wants to listen a a Freddie with laryngitis. Absolutely gutted ☹️
  15. Due to a strange twist of fate, I've ended up with two of these and as good as they are, I really don't need both. This one I purchased on this very forum a short while ago from @admiralchew and what a unit it is. The SGT switch is just nuts. Essentially the Ampeg sound (or sounds to be more precise) without the requirement to visit a chiropractor. It's in immaculate condition and could pass for new. Here is the Ampeg blurb.... The SGT-DI™ preamp and DI gives modern bassists an entire rig in a single stompbox. It delivers an enhanced Super Grit Technology™ overdrive circuit featuring iconic Ampeg SVT® and B15 voices, versatile 3-band EQ now with sweepable Mid circuit, Ultra-Hi and 3-way Ultra-Lo switches, a variable compressor, and an Aux /Headphone section. Plus! Introducing the first IR Loader/Cab Simulator from Ampeg. Choose from three classic factory cabs or up to three cabs of your own by using the free Ampeg IR Loader application. 3-Band EQ with sweepable Mid circuit SGT circuit with SVT and B15 voicing switch Onboard IR Loader/Cab Simulator Ultra-Hi and 3-way Ultra-Lo switches Variable 10:1 compressor Price is firm, but does include fully insured and tracked shipping. I'm not looking for any trades.
  16. It is 3 Leaf Audio. It’s exactly as announced on the web site along with links to those auctions.
  17. It’s odd because it does not resolve the issue. His justification is that he’s had complaints about buyers reselling pedals at inflated prices, so his solution is to do what everyone has complained about, the only difference being, he gets the money instead. Well done Spencer 👏👏👏👏. By the way, he marketed this endeavour as ‘I’m selling these pedals at 99% off standard price’ which was the starting bid on the auction 🤷‍♂️. It doesn’t resolve what the buyers have complained about, but it does resolve what he obviously has a beef with. Now if he was passing the profits above $333 on to charity - different story. Maintaining an order list, in my view a fairer way to do things, would be more labour intensive for him, but at least he would know where they are going and just under 100 pedals wouldn’t disappear in an instant to bot buyers. At the time, I was really frustrated with FEA Labs (more the lack of commas than anything), even though I knew I was on their waiting list, but at least they came through in the end. I now have zero interest in passing any of my hard earned in his direction. I shall investigate other options instead.
  18. Whilst I don't expect him to give them away, I find this a bizarre move motivated purely for profit.
  19. What did you go for in the end?
  20. Yeah, that’s what he said last year. Nice to see he’s going to make a cracking profit on those ones on eBay. I do not understand the logic behind that at all.
  21. Absolutely gutted that I've once again missed out on an Octabvre. I waited ages for Spencer to announce another run and 100 of them went live at 9am PST (5pm GMT). I couldn't possible have got through the order process quicker than I did. The clock was still showing 1700hrs when I clicked purchase and they had sold out. I thought FEA Labs were bad, but at least I was able to get on a list with them and they did eventually deliver. It seems a lot of these Octabvre pedals get re-sold for profit. What's worse 3Leaf have put 7 of the 100 on eBay and they're all going way above the site price of $333. Not a chance in hell I'm bidding any of them. I'll do without.
  22. Agreed. Just awful. Absolutely obliterates it.
  23. Queenage play Hatfield Peverel on December 2nd 2023. There are only 34 tickets left - available from the link below. QUEENAGE TICKET LINK
