Even the tuning keys are in roughly the same position, plus the very similar strap is shown fitted the same way with the double layer attached to the top horn. The back of the headstock doesn't look obviously photoshopped/altered to my eyes though and seems to be have been taken at the same time as the others.

@ImoB the marks on the case in the listing look distinctive. Do they look familiar? They could have been caused after you last saw it of course.

As mentioned elsewhere, Mike Rutherford is touring the world with Genesis using a Squier Strat (well, it has a Squier neck on it at least) 🤷‍♂️ My Geddy CS was expensive (nowhere near the price in the OP I should add) but a shed load of work went into the relic job. It really is a lovely bass if relics are your thing.

Ditto. It looks like a nice shiny version of my Geddy Lee Custom Shop which is a replica of Geddy's original black jazz bass. I think I prefer the road worn version.

I love John Taylor. I think he's a great guy and I've had enormous pleasure listen to and playing Duran Duran songs for decades, but, I wouldn't put him in the top ten of any year - let alone 2021. I do wonder what the criteria is. Do they just have to be alive? Or must they have gigged or released material in 2021?
