  1. You’re thinking along the same lines as me then Barrie 😂. Not helped at all by the fact that there are three lovely Fodera Monarch’s on Page 1 at the moment. At least this one is in the UK and a short drive from me.
  2. I have exactly the same problem courtesy of a smashed ring finger that set incorrectly. Fortunately it’s on my plucking hand. I can’t see a way around your predicament.
  3. I can resist another Status (just) and another ‘Ray. Might be in trouble if a nice Smith comes along, other than that, I’m good 😜.
  4. Yeah, it’s not in the UK though 🤷‍♂️.
  5. I could be properly done for if a nice Zon Sonus 4 appears. Regretting not buying the one I played last year. Oh well.
  6. I have to say, I like both the basses, but I dread to think how much they are asking for them.
  7. He played 'If I'm Dreaming My Life' in New York two months prior to Vienna. That's the only two times. Astoria would be nice as it's a longer set, but I'll buy it whatever it is, so not too worried - but yes, massive overlap. That it's another '99 gig is what I've been told by a reliable source, but we'll have to wait and see. I don't know if the vinyl is produced in lesser quantities, but they always seem to sell out first and go for more on eBay.
  8. Are you going vinyl, CD or both? You’re probably aware of this already, but it was known that volumes 5 & 6 were both going to be ‘99 gigs and that one of them would be ‘Something In The Air’. So now that’s out of the way, I wonder what the final one might be. The London Astoria gig maybe?
  9. Volume 5 has just been announced as a pre-order this morning. The vinyl has sold out already, but there are a few CD's left. It is the Paris gig from '99 called 'Something In The Air' which is already available to stream.
  10. @The fasting showman - no apology necessary. It's all good as far as I'm concerned 👍
  11. I would prefer a 4 string, but yes, a lovely looking bass.
  12. I don't mind telling you that this took some finding. As previously mentioned, I did think we had previously published this track, but when I searched our You Tube channel, I couldn't find it. I think we decided not to publish as it went a bit wonky towards the end. That said, it's fitting tribute to Big Kev who has supported us since Day 1. It's the one and only time we have performed it.
  13. I curse myself daily for not buying this bass when I had the chance ☹️
  14. Listening to it again now, I'm lobbying for Teenage Wildlife when we next get in a room together - and we haven't even done The Laughing Gnome yet!!
  15. It's an almost impossible task keeping up with all the Bowie related bits and pieces that pop up on You Tube. Individual songs from The White Room have popped up before, but there's now a proper 'soundboard mix' of all the songs from that show that has appeared, including Teenage Wildlife. It does, as you say, sound 'meaty', but I think it's all the better for it. I'm ripping that tomorrow for sure.
  16. Bought tickets to see Kiss to see a new band called Bon Jovi 😎
  17. I've considered not taking any amps (and doing a Geddy) more times than I've considered taking a back-up amp (never). I've only ever had an issue with one amp many years ago and it was a particularly tempremental bugger. On the two occasions it quit on me, we were in a theatre venue and was easily bypassed.
  18. Yes, I know what you mean about Quicksand. Cracking song. We used it as an opener ourselves once for a very dear friend who comes to all our gigs. I can’t remember whether the video is still on our channel. The recording didn’t come out that well as I recall. We used the White Room version of Boys Keep Swinging as a template for what we do. Kicks derrière that one. I like Hours, but then I like Tin Machine as well and that doesn’t tend to go down too well in the Bowie fandom 😂.
  19. I’ve just finished listening to disc 1 of the Phoenix set and it’s excellent apart from Under Pressure which sounds a bit loose. Also love what they did with Driftin’ Blues into The Jean Genie. I liked the way they started gigs on this tour. Quicksand is a great low key opener and it goes into the revamped TMWSTW which is equally subdued.
  20. Yes, Teenage Wildlife was pretty much ignored until the Outside Tour. It was performed quite regularly throughout it though.
  21. Have now secured a copy of this from a very nice chap called Gary in London. Small world, but he knows our singer from seeing the previous incarnation of our current Bowie tribute.
