  1. Interesting. On the first occasion I used them, as per my post earlier in this thread, the issue was (apparently)that I DID put a space in the postcodes. This resulted in a rescheduled collection from me, so no biggie. Every time I have used them since, I have put no slaves in any postal codes and it’s been OK. What difference it makes in the UK I have no idea. You’d have to be fairly stupid to not find your way to a correct postcode with or without spaces.
  2. I would be interested to hear @three's thoughts on the differences between the USA and Skyline basses. The USA I bought from him is just stunningly good, clearly better in fit and finish than the couple of Skyline's I've tried since, but I'm aware that's only a couple of comparisons so I don't think I'm in a position to judge.
  3. In fairness, I didn’t buy the Smith (which I really wanted) and resisted buying your Bravewood, so the method is working for me at the moment.
  4. I don't think I have a snowball's chance in hell of getting through 2021 without an errant purchase or three, but I will try 😎.
  5. From Mrs.H. She always plays an absolute blinder with Christmas pressies.
  6. Fraud is/was the overriding offence and false instrument on top of that would be construed as two bites at the cherry. She's right, but you probably wouldn't see a court convict on both. Academic now as that has been dealt with.
  7. +1 to that mate. Don’t know about yours, but the arms drop and retract backwards enough for me to use it as a seat for when I’m on Jamakazam. Used it for three hours solid on Sunday without issue.
  8. I’m not a fan of fabric. They tend to wear badly. Accepted it’s a little pricey, but the quality of components is top drawer. I very much doubt I’ll ever have to worry about replacing it.
  9. Fair enough, but Secretlab make different sizes for each of their models of chair and also give height and weight definitions for each, so you probably wouldn’t have bought one in error.
  10. I would like to ‘un second’ (and ‘un first’ for that matter) the notion of buying chairs on line. All I did was ask an experienced gamer what he would recommend and ordered one of them. Bit expensive, but oh so worth it. Only problem is, whenever I lean back in it, I fall asleep 😂, it’s that comfortable. https://secretlab.co.uk/collections/titan-series#titan_2020-batman
  11. Light and short scale is one thing. Cheap with a good B, plus light and short scale. Not so simple. Then you have to find a lefty. Good luck.
  12. Prima was batting way over his average with Maione. Great voice and beautiful to boot. Left her penniless.
  13. Depends. If you’re intending to cover certain songs accurately, then yes, you do. If you’re happy to compromise and play the low notes an octave higher, then no, you don’t (even though it’s wrong and you know it 😂). Fiver all the way for me when required. The rest of the time, I’m happy with fours.
  14. Agreed. I don’t think anyone has anything to worry about. Just hope the monies are returned 👍
  15. Technically, it could be either/both depending on how this plays out, but I really don't think any of the alleged aggrieved parties have anything to worry about.
  16. Let’s nip this slander thing in the bud shall we? What harm has been caused to the individual as a result of what has been said? That is for the person in question to prove. If he has the cajones to ‘brief’ himself up, I believe he will open himself up to a can of worms. He would potentially have to allege something along the lines of ‘I have been unable to sell anything in X’ directly because of what ‘Y’ said and it is as a direct result and he would have to provide evidence to support it. Personally, I wouldn’t worry about the threat of slander. All in my humble opinion of course.
  17. As previously discussed @ped, I’ve historically advised against these types of threads. That said, having read all the posts thus far, I don’t see anything that would potentially harm any defence (everything here is legally disclosable - if it gets that far). Providing everything is kept factual and that those facts can be supported, I think it’s a good idea to leave it open. After all, we don’t know the extent of the alleged deception(s). There maybe more than we know of at this stage. It’s your choice ultimately, but I don’t see an issue providing this doesn’t veer into wild speculation and/or threats - which it hasn’t thus far. IMHO of course. Hope you guys get your money back 🤞.
  18. I’ve actually been seriously considering putting some of them up for sale. There is a bass for sale that I’m gassing for and it would be a significant investment.
  19. +1 for a David Wilson. Click the build link in my sig for photos.
  20. I wake up most mornings feeling like I have in my fretting hand. I know what my condition is and it’s nowhere near as serious as yours, but I really don’t envy you. I wish you all the best in your recovery.
  21. You started off with an easy one then 😂. Nice work 👍.
  22. There are many things that don't make sense and increasing your blood pressure over something so trivial probably features in it. Mod has spoken. End of. You may not like it, but them's the roolz innit.
