In the mid-90s I was in a four-piece where at no point did the members of the band ever manage to be in the same room at the same time.
As far as I know we haven't split up yet.
I had a bet with myself for what time he would roll out the "it's not a C chord until I play a C" quote (first reported appearance, Bass Player magazine, April 1992)
(ffwd to 27m51s, I was over by 13m27s)
And if they had, Fear Inoculum would only have been out a couple of months by now and we'd all be still very excited about it.

A few tips from my top shelf:
Opeth - Garden of the Titans
King Crimson - Meltdown
Rush - R40, Time Machine
The Police - Certifiable (video quality on this one is amazing)
David Byrne - American Utopia
It's streaming (lol) on NME. Viewer discretion advised of course.

And I was looking forward to seeing them supporting Tool, which is also good advice for the chaps attempting a similar move.
If pushed I'd say the UW has most mileage, but the Tensor is most out there of the bunch. At the other end, Mel9 has some excellent sounds and exactly what I wanted from it, but a few that don't work as well on bass.
Off the top of my head, and in no particular order, mostly from the BC Effects For Sale area...
