New Moon have always been really good at understanding whatever I throw at them (not literally), and really friendly to deal with. Cover for a mix of instruments/amps/pedals/other bits with individually assigned usage (ie home, UK, abroad), and in-car cover, worth well into 5 figures comes in at less than £150. As always an insurance company only measures up when you make a claim, which thankfully I've not had to do yet.

Does the cab work with other amps? And does the Trace combo's amp section happily power other cabs? (you should be able to unplug it from the combo's speaker at the back, my Trace had a couple of speaker out sockets on the back) And how did you connect the combo to the extension cab?

Oh thank god he said (ok implied) they go out of time in the intro. I've always found it impossible to play along to, unlike the Seconds Out version which is metronomic thanks to Chester in the back.

btw going off topic but have a look at Rick's videos with his son Dylan. eg "Perfect Pitch: The World's Greatest Ear" is 1m26s of wtf howdhedodat.

I love Rick Beato, but I find his WMTSG series is more What Are The Constituent Parts Of This Song rather than why they're Great. Watching it now. I wonder if he'll point out that the 12-string's high E pair is actually tuned to a D which makes it a million times easier to play.

I recall an interview with Tony Banks that said that (early on at least) they treated live albums as much as a "best of" rather than a document of a full concert (or at least a full setlist, gleaned from multiple gigs, like Live Over Europe). Bootlegs are you friends for full gig recordings of course.

Yep, seen both several times as well. As a classic Genesis fan I'm sure you'll enjoy the show! As mentioned before it's great theatre, and a massive nostalgia fest. (regarding Steve Hackett, ditto the latter as well. unless he plays the "new stuff" ie after * insert preferred cut off date here * )

Agreed - Beggsy is great but Lee Pomeroy's playing was spot on in Hackett's band. Jonas Reingold is doing a pretty good job as well.

For roughly the same ticket price, actual Steve Hackett wins hands down for me (despite Nad Sylvan)

Prog people would say it's the best Genesis album. I'd go as far as saying it's got their best songs on (Firth, Cinema Show, Moonlit Knight if you can take the endless coda), some ok (I Know What I Like) and filler (the rest). Looking forward to the gig as much for the Spectral Mornings content as the Selling England. The last show of his I saw at the RFH last year was really good. Jonas has done the best job as a Rutherford in Hackett's band except Lee Pomeroy. TMB put on a great show but I have suspicions that there are more than five of them doing the job. The Watch are pretty good as well.

2014, hard to believe it's nearly five years ago. It was amazing and a top three all-time gig. JG's Takamine TB-10 from the show is still well-looked after I'm sure everyone will be relieved to hear.

I never really got Toby's in its full glory. Again much prefer the potted version on Yesshows (which is still over half an hour long).

Agree with all of that. It's more jazz rock really. Anyway check out the live version on Yesshows, it's about 115% of the studio version.
