1. I know a couple of non-musicians who aren't bothered about music. Can't think of musicians who don't though. Having said that, I used to work in Our Price records and the last thing I wanted to do when I got home was listen to music. Same feeling immediately after a gig as well to this day.
2. Great show at Usher Hall last night, sound was the best so far of the three gigs I've seen. (I had a quick hello with the soundman, and said well done on what must be a really hard show to balance what with the three drummers. he said "yeah this room's a bit live to be honest" - but that meant all the saxes and the bass were a lot better presented, bass and the lower saxes tended to mud out at previous shows)
3. Will the chap on the right stop fidgeting please. (I'm going to stand at the back next time)
4.
What was the overall opinion of the interstella orbitor?
It had a couple of minutes from Juan very near the beginning of the talk. His general impression was mostly "this is kind of new and makes some pretty crazy sounds" which was agreed all round I think.
5. Hi, My jazz-rock band Velcro Pelmet are on at the Spectrumm Festival at Merton Abbey Mills, south-west London, tomorrow Saturday September 12th. 6.
Popped into Wunjo's to have a chat just now, mentioned the pedals that most impressed me and ... they'd just taken delivery of a pre-owned Afterneath and stuck a price tag on it. Well it would have been downright rude not to buy it. As with all the best comedy, it's all in the timing.
Nice one! Now do the same with a Bit Commander and I'll meet you afterwards.
7.
Warrington does not need to worry about barnets nowadays. If you want to look at barnets, look up the youtube version of the tune by Manhattan Transfer (the band features Wayne Johnson on guitar) https://www.youtube....h?v=yxIo6nrgVa4

I seem to remember a youtube of Toto doing it live with Lee Sklar. Can't find it tho. Anyone?
That Man Tran version first appeared on their album "Extensions". Toto's David Hungate and Jeff Porcaro played on that version. Do I win today's bad jazz cover version trivia award?
8. My tops were the Bit Commander, Arpanoid, Organizer, with Hoof Reaper bubbling under (2x fuzz and an octaver)
9. My band does the Weather Report "8.30" version. I've got a pretty good transcription if it's of interest. Kinda like this one http://www.youtube....h?v=pqashW66D7o (ps that's not a jumper Peter Erskine's wearing, he is actually that hairy)
10. I'll be changing my board name to Disaster Area from tomorrow. I'd have worn me slacks if I'd known I'd be sitting on the floor!
11. Hi! You've probably got loads of me then. (I started off on the floor, got cramp, sat behind Juan, realised everyone was filming/shooting me, moved off to the other side again)
12. I didn't get a name badge Awesome event though. Well done everyone!
13. Just found this: https://www.facebook.com/events/1156736194356023/ Not much more info but nice to have.
14. Both. How do you know their respective dress sizes by the way? And would you want to be in a band that checked your BMI at audition?
15.
Speaking of speaking, I found it odd that No One Spoke to the audience from the stage.
I think a slightly adapted version of this would have done the trick http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbuowTL1nSg
16. A handclap sounds like a snare. Snare beats typically happen on the two and four.
17.
I saw Vic Reeves was there on the first night.
Also found out this morning that John Wetton was at the Brighton gig. Loads of good pics on TLev's site: http://papabear.com/tours/crim15/crim15_7.htm for example
18. I like the little woo-hoo a band member does in the background at 44s.
19. Also in the audience at Hackney last night Steve Davis (no surprise there) Ade Edmondson Matt Stevens Kavus Torabi Peter Gabriel Kate Bush
20.
https://www.youtube....h?v=80dsyo2Ox-0 The Ox calmly going about his business.
Love that there's "Ox" in the URL.
21.
Week on Thursday up here. Seems along way off.
Usher Hall? I'm going to that one as well
