2. Check out his solo work too, I love the album Bestial Cluster from the mid-90s. Here's the title track. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPIRIYGQmEE
 3. Hi Steff, yes as far as I know NJR have recently brought their new bassist on board. Having said that, if you're really interested then there's no harm in dropping them a line to say you're up for it and to consider you if they ever need a dep.

 5. I learned Erotomania on 4-string years ago (mid 90s) when a transcription appeared in one of the American guitar mags. There's a couple of low notes but nothing that doesn't sound odd an octave up.
 6. I bought Andy's Darkglass Harmonic Booster - really easy transaction, good price, quick replies to communications. Nice one!
 7. Didn't know they'd moved! Looks like they're right next door to Rogue now.
 8. Terminal as well, nice big rooms but they're more spendy. Also look out for Husky, Borough Studios and (new to me) The Miller. 9.
Any recommendations? Rogue any good for example?
Rogue are pretty good, and handy for the train line into London Bridge. And, quite unusually, they have an online booking system, and it actually works (and I think it's cheaper if you book this way)
 10.
Not a clue - even with sound on
It's a Creedence medley. You know, just the type of song that needs chords, slapping and over-hand left hand percussion on a 6-string.
 11. I've just realised I've got the same strap (white on black instead of black on white though)
 12.
I'm watching this in the office with the sound on mute and in no way do I feel I am missing out
Can you guess what they're playing?

 14. Learn a few danceable grooves with your drummer that you can slip into while the two front boys sort themselves out. Make them tight and make sure the two of you can cue an ending with a milliseconds notice.
 15. A couple of Del Forbes nuggets of joy... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FX0eJkGmYUw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZs_l9hF8IY
 16. You could still "hear" yourself by the well-established "chin amp" technique though.
 17.
This re mastered thing may also be enjoyed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_FBcz3tBH74
What's Phil got in his mouth about 16m40s, at the end of Moonlit Knight?
 18.
It's a hidden gem this is! Apparently he only left Genesis due to stage fright!!
And a serious attack of bronchial pneumonia that knocked him out for a while. Ant's a lovely chap. I live not far from him and see him around occasionally, and once got a phone call from him - in the pub, while myself and the singer were interviewing a keyboard player about joining our Genesis tribute band. "we don't always get phone calls from Genesis ex-members when talking to new bandmates" we had to admit. Anyway, he was calling to arrange collection of a 12-string guitar he was kindly donating as a charity auction item for a Genesis convention we were playing at. So I went to collect it, and we had a nice chat about the early days, and he asked if any of his era songs were in our set. He was quite chuffed to hear that The Knife, White Mountain, The Musical Box and Fountain of Salmacis were included. (The latter despite being on Nursery Cryme from after he left, featured compositional input from Ant).

 20.
5 down is incorrect
Depends how you spell it

 22. Stratus is in our current setlist... as is Red Baron. I'm hoping to get this in there one day http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-b_h8i9eWU
 23.
And John is a top bloke as well. I was due for an audition with them 3 years ago on a Sunday night. Set off, got stuck for two hours on a closed M6 didn't make it. He was really sympathetic when I rang and explained, despite studio etc being booked and paid for. Didn't get the gig . Gutted in many ways at the time, but having seen them and the bass pedals that are used I would be knackered just by the Riverdancing. Go see em if you like early (proper) Genesis
Having being the Rutherford in a few other Genesis tribs, I can vouch for (a) the Riverdancing aspect - although there's only one point in the repertoire where I recall having to use both feet and both hands at the same time; and (2) John is indeed a top bloke, having crossed paths with him several times on the circuit with his previous tribute Face Value. So - go see Mama if you get the chance.
 24. I was at the O2 on saturday for Simple Minds/Ultravox. The play-in music for SM was "Obscured By Clouds"... what a tune. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIBFNdRa_Ls
