Hi folks, I've been thinking about selling this monster head for a while, I love it but don't use it as our band are on in ears and the pa belongs to me so on the off chance I need a big backline for a dep gig without in ears I can use one or even two RCF 735s. 900 watt at 4 ohms which is what you get if you buy my matching 4 ohm 2x12 lightweight cab also listed ;-D Fet on one channel with a valve preamp on the other, blendable if you like for a bit of grit. High quality carry bag and pedal board included, had very little use for such a pro head. Pics to follow over the weekend. Collection from Stafford area preferred but postage/meet up possible. Reduced to £375 ono, new price was over £1000 plus the bag. Listed on ebay now starting at £299. Thanks, Pete.

Hey folks, I've decided to offer this beast up for grabs, I'm not doing as many gigs as I once was and I'm keeping one of my three Ray 5s and my Jazz 5 for gigging. This is a very early 2010 tabacco burst and birdseye maple model, nice condition, pics to follow and an original case in good condition. Single piece slab body, no joins. 2 band eq based on the 70's ones, lovely vintage gloss neck finish, foam dampers on the bridge, chrome battery cover, 6 bolt neck, basically all the best things of various Stingrays over the years! In the flesh these are another step up in quality over a regular Ray, I've owned and played plenty and this is easily the best I've ever seen. Tiny mark on the end of the headstock imposible to picture, excellent condition even though it has been enjoyed by me rather than kept in it's case. 4.8kg or 10.58lbs. New prices for these are around £2400. £1350 ovno, no trades. Collection from Stafford area. Thanks, Pete. anthropology careers and salaries in india Case picture to come.

Hi fellow basschatters, I've decided that I don't need three Stingray 5s anymore so this one and my Classic (now sold) are up for grabs, no trades as I'm going to use the money for non musical purposes! This one has a bit of a strange past which I think the price reflects, it started life as a fretless matching headstock in 2007 so it has the later switch position and battery box towards the lower horn, Alnico pickup with a rare white cover that once matched a pearloid guard, it didn't look good at all so i fitted a brand new genuine 3 ply black/white/black one including genuine black screws. Almost from new the neck was swapped to a fretted maple board one without the compensated nut, it's a totally legit neck straight out of California not a copy or anything but I like to be straight with people. The bass plays and sounds awesome, nice B string and in overall good shape for a 12 year old bass, dink in the headstock at the top as usual, comes with an official hardshell case in decent shape. It is a weighty beast at 5kg or 11lbs, Collection and test drives available near Stafford, I'm in a village about 15 minutes from either of the Stafford exits of the M6 , junctions 13/14. No trades, £775 ono thanks, Pete.

I don't like that grotty hardware or the finish colour. -

Nothing is "free" though really is it? I just did a quick quote , a £1000 of cover with insure4music is £30 a year. -
I'm a technophobe but I know since the new rules came in recently about data storage etc we've had issues where certain emails wouldn't go through.

I think he's on holiday, it was mentioned at our bass geek meeting last night.

I don't think many people in your average weekend function band will qualify for a concession so it's nearly TEN times the price if you just need a certificate to satisfy the venue, to do it legitimately a five piece band would all need to be members at a cost of £1105, a five piece band with Insure4music can be had for less than £50, that's quite a difference unless you are going to require a grands worth of advantages a year. -

It's £221 a year to be a MU member, an individual policy with insure4music is £28, I did the whole band including raising the cover from 1 to 2 million for £55 a year. Its only £69 with ampband. -
Public liability insurance recommendations please.

Does the public liability with the MU cover a whole band or would every band member need to join? Unless you need the extra features of tye MU it's a hugely expensive way of doing it for a typical function band. -

Which is a pound more than insure4music for a 5 piece for £1m.
