I sold Martthebass a Squier P bass for about £60, out of the box is was beyond my needs ability wise

I have seen some stuff like Richard Bona and Yanek Gwizdala etc that in fairness although they would rock with a Squier P no doubt the loop station tapping stuff would not be possible on any of my basses without some fret dressing and even then the necks might not be stable enough to stay at such a low action on a tour basis, granted this is not your everyday pub gig issue

No but then that contradicts the idea people are buying this stuff with the hope of it being the answer to their prayers of being able to play doesn't it? The people buying it must have already got their sh*t together on cheaper gear and are not on this quest we always hear about but in fact just like high end gear and have the skills to be able to play it properly. As I've said before in other threads one persons high end gear is anothers work horse inexpensive run of the mill stuff. I take no notice of endorsed products, watching someone rock out with an Ashdown rig as you sit smugly saying if its good enough for so and so it's good enough for me is all well and good until you take into account the pre EQ Di and two grands worth of in ear monitors, stage dressing/advertising at its finest

Every single person I know with top end custom stuff can also play really well, I've not one person with a £3k plus bass that cant play.

I disagree I'd put a hefty steak on it sounding more like butter than cheese?

I would say the stickers are there not because of potential between sockets in that area as any property with 3 phase has that potential especially once an extension lead is introduced but more likely that the wiring for another ring main on another phase is contained within the socket box. Most industrial installations are done that way rather than running three conduits all the wires run down one so when you remove a socket face you are exposed to all three phases.

I wonder if you left it a few years under the bed then when you returned to it would it "play like butter"?

Behringer BDi 21, some Dunlop 1.00mm picks and a bag of angle jack patch leads that I was getting desparate for on its way from Thomann, gone from no pedals to loads of bloody pedals now

I have a garage full of tools for car tinkering but the allen key set lives up here with the guitars, so far I have been very good and put them all back everytime I am updating my list of serial numbers and photographing everything today too

Coffee table customs do nothing for me so I would rather spend £2.5k on a Modulus, I presume as others have in the past I would not be the only one?

I have peeked under Owen's leopard print cover and there is indeed a lovely bass under there, the leopard skin is growing on me now though

Once you get it in the mix I normally find that adjusting the treble boost/cut is all I need for a whole range of styles all night, I'm a clumsy ham fisted get and it gets a bits toppy with a pick with the same settings as my finger style.

Hi Pete, its the intonation ones that are causing trouble, my set of a million allen keys has one for the truss and the 1/16th for the saddles but the intonation ones that people on the net are fighting about being a phillips screw are as you know not a screw but another allen head on the HMV bridge on these latest versions. Its meant to be 7/64ths but the one in my set does not quite fit, im hoping its just a cheap key and I have ordered a single 7/64 allen key off ebay hopefully that will fit?! The truss rod on the new US standards and your Deluxe do both share the same posiflex truss rods, non US models dont get them so they might have a different key size. What exactly was with your case candy? I might try and get a set off ebay just for future value. Still not decided what to do with the deluxe case im not going to use, ive left the wrappers on it for now

I go parallel most of the time, the Classicray5 hasn't got a switch anyway but the ceramic version in series is a serious tool that you will enjoy a lot! I like my ceramic SR5 in series with a pick, its awesome
