I've just counted the stitches and I'm sure the 67 case is from June of that year, they added an extra stitch for each month to identify them.

The Orchid was what ebs freak suggested to me, when you say better exactly what differences can I expect? I've never known something so wildy different in price.

Mostly just to match the bass output to the mixer input, does sound better to me with the di than without. We need a pie and rack box design night!

What's the crack with di boxes then?, I use active basses exclusively and legend has it I should use a passive box as my ampless setup into the mixer. At the moment I'm using a behringer bdi21 but just as a di, the actual pedal is switched off. I tried a Chord brand one in the practice studio and it sounded worse to my ears. I'd like to throw a passive di in the back of a rack mount rather than faff with powering one, what should I get? what's the difference between all these passive boxes? Thanks.

I play along to the track and write various scribbles on a piece of A4 as I go, sometimes I'll keep playing with hammer ons and sometimes I'll pause the track to write something down. The chart ends up as a combination of chord charts, root notes, notation and little reminders which I'll play through eventually at the end without the pen to make sure it's correct, then I might look at the actual right hand technique, pick, slap, fingers or whatever.

It's only just occurred to me that most of the time I spend practicing and working stuff out ready for a rehearsal is done with this right hand technique, I've done it for years I suppose. Funny how like anything new you can't imagine doing anything else at the same time when you are learning yet I'll play some tricky stuff (for me at least) with that pen there, Start by the Jam was tonight's home work which I'd never played before. Bad habit but hey ho.

I use a usa Jazz V, it's cracking. I think the best advice would be to try a post 2012 one, I'd previously discounted them as junk which tbf most of them were, the ones with five tuners in a row have all had the worst B string I've ever found.

The plectrums give hope that there's some good rock stuff too? Great voice, that track was a bit slow for me personally.
