  1. Well he was born in London and lived in Stoke in trent as a child, he's got British citizenship and half his family are British so I'd say he does know.
  2. I use what was our wireless router that came free from plus net with my XR16 after we moved to talk talk, faster to load the scenes, never dropped out once yet, free and secure where with the built in version four devices can log in without a password.
  3. Worth moving on just for the storage space unless you have a spare barn for junk and stuff?
  4. As they are American to us in the UK they would be called Bottom.
  5. Tbf some of the gigs I've done the band turning off their devices would half the WiFi enabled devices in the venue!
  6. The funny thing is I had an open cheque book and permission from the boss to buy whichever jazz or derivative I wanted and I still ended up with the USA Fender, EBS_freak has the pictures of me trying the USA Lakland and various other basses, I didn't even go for the deluxe version!
  7. I use a usa Jazz V, it's cracking. I think the best advice would be to try a post 2012 one, I'd previously discounted them as junk which tbf most of them were, the ones with five tuners in a row have all had the worst B string I've ever found.
  8. The plectrums give hope that there's some good rock stuff too? Great voice, that track was a bit slow for me personally.
  9. Or a drum machine.
  10. I'm sure I've found a few extra notes when I play upright bass, I just need the rest of the band to follow suit!
  11. Nope, there really isn't such a person, never has been.
  12. There's a few people with the Genz Benz Shuttle 12.0 heads and two of their matching four ohm 2x12 cabs which gives 600watts to each cab separately via two power amps and a tweeter in each. I'd imagine there's plenty of heft regardless of what some people say about class D heads!
  13. Pedant alert There's no such person as HRH the Queen.
  14. I've got a pile of Genz gear because of him!
  15. They are worth what people will pay for them. Not a penny more and not a penny less and not the advertised for sale price.
  16. What you want is good quality studio monitors, I haven't recorded with a physical amp since about 2001
  17. Sounds to me like you might have had them in stereo but with a mono feed, I was rocking out with mine at home then set them up a few days later and it was tinny, no head room, awful. Then I realised it was a different P2 and sure enough it was in stereo, swapped it to mono and it blew my head off! There are other tips available for the in ears, foam or silicone and various sizes, I wouldn't spend a fortune on molded plugs only to find out that they won't work for you. Personally I wouldn't use in ears in a band where some members are and others aren't, from what you say you could spend loads on new in ears only to find that it's the dodgy mix. I'm sure more knowledgeable folk will be along soon. As for the stage entrance, I put the wire down the back of my shirt then you can hang the left and right plugs on the correct side, put the P2 on your belt with the 3.5 jack already in, I then loop the xlr lead over my guitar strap just like my guitar lead.
  18. Nah felt like an emergency trip to the lav was about to happen!
  19. Quick shout out to EBS_freak for spending the day setting up my band on in ears including the new FOH mix, I think we've totally killed rock and roll but on the plus side we've got three less large heavy boxes to bring, four if we can get rid of the guitar amp, no mains leads required out front and four sockets we don't need. Thanks again dude.
  20. It didn't work unfortunately!
  21. When playing Snow Patrol I play open A, open D and get a member of the audience to press the Ab down on the E string! I've also played it left handed all the way through just to make it slightly more exciting.
  22. Well let's say there's twenty manufacturers, obviously there's far more, "most" would require more than half of them to have peeling Tolex issues, so that's eleven even if we're playing it down to only twenty brands, I can think of only two, Barefaced and the early versions of Ampeg after they moved the assembly to another country.
  23. Common to most modern amps? , what a load of bollards.
