  1. Not playing the real one vs using the EUB regularly sounds like a winner to me.
  2. It wasn't even off the split channels just like a wedge mix from the same as FOH, yeah that's your task to mix everyone fully. I'll keep the dinosaur rigs for now.
  3. Nope and taking an amp just for one member of the band to hear won't be happening either, as soon as we're all on ears I think my amps will be redundant, turns out a pair of AAA batteries have more heft than any amp/cab I've ever tried!
  4. I threw the drummer a mix together at last night's gig, had a regular wedge on standby but we didn't need it, he's a convert, loved it!
  5. Stingray straight in sounds great, the Genz heads I use aren't that different anyway.
  6. I always ruin it with my shoddy playing though! 😬
  7. Maybe if I played passive basses I'd want something between me and the desk, a Stingray clean sounds great right in there ime and should be easy for the sound crew to cut out what they don't want.
  8. I'd end up with a diagonal tilt no doubt!
  9. I'd rather have flat and characterless out front than a killer sound on stage but mush out front, which many of the "my sound" players end up with!
  10. I joined a project like this, a year later I'd sold every four string I owned
  11. Leds, headless, keyboard bit all he needs is a music stand and a waistcoat to be the most uncool person ever!
  12. Oh it's certainly fun for the player and maybe the drummer but might not be good for the overall ensemble.
  13. I actually had the opportunity to buy one cheap, I tried to like it but couldn't and decided to give it back even though I should have just kept it under the bed!
  14. I certainly wouldn't plough any of my funds into one.
  15. Surely the whole point of an FRFR setup is that has the full range for your purposes, if you need to add a sub for head room or range then it hasn't got enough usable range and you've bought the wrong kit, when you consider a pair of RCFs can handle front of house for a full band including keys and kick drum for a medium sized venue then a single one as a monitor should cover every gig, anything bigger would require wedges around the stage or in ears.
  16. Better I'd imagine and more ergonomic too.
  17. Defo pie, chuck me some days over. No I just tapped into the usual mix and it's setup for that venue and using backline, it didn't sound bad at all and I'm not sure if my amp was even post EQ! I'll get Jim off that old amp soon.
  18. That's only so Jools can overdub boogie woogie over everything.
  19. The bigger the stage the less sub I'd want on it.
  20. I think the mistake and a costly one was revealed when you said 'condenser'?
  21. Yes that's a point, what's Gregory porter upto next week? Lol
