I've had the 6.0 for years driving a Genz 2x12 with no reliability issues, more volume than i have ever needed. Tone wise they are very clear, plenty of lows and masses of highs how that compares to the euphonic i have no idea and which one your ears prefers only you can tell I'd say. I went for a 9.2max head to go with it but purely for the fun of it

I think maybe we all have different ideas about a chart reading this, I have never used a chart for gigs doing the usual beatles through to kings of leon, chic, rolling stones etc but I have written a few things on the discreetly hidden set list like altered keys, chords through a middle 8 etc. What about a 2 hour jazz gig though?

Cracking arent they, the first time where for the budget id suggest new over used, you are a total Genz slag now though!

I quite like the scuffed edges on your bass TheRev, as long as it's structurally sound i think it gives it a bit of a story to tell

I wish i had got stuck into all this years ago

Just had a poke around the f holes and it's hard to say, the centre is quite curved and fairly thin behind the bridge area which would suggest pressed from a single sheet but the edges feel like a different contour from the front more consistent with it bring scooped out for want of a better term? Just checked on the gedo site and they are listed as half carved but maybe one mans carved is another mans as long as it's not ply and has been carved after pressing for it's final fit?

Anyone familiar with the Jason Donnavan that sets up in Bristol on a weekend? Brilliant i say.

Lovely! I didnt know they could have a pressed solid top, it looks very similar to my romanian Gedo other than mine has a curved back, how can I tell if its pressed rather than carved? Ta

If its a barefaced check the feet and handles are still there! Lol only joking See how the owner looks after his/her gear as that will be a good indicator of how they will have treated the cab when in use regarding overloading it or throwing it about. Chromatic scales holding the notes are best imo for finding that frequency that gets anything loose to rattle, dont be surprised to find a note that makes something in the sellers house rattle, my bedroom doesnt like A#

Id say there were a lot less 5 string basses in the lime light when the SR5 came out, EBMM were already playing off the Stingray name with a bass that bears little or no resemblance to a Stingray which people will have identified by the single underslung tuner, still a first port of call when trying to spot a bass in the shadows of a dimly lit stage for me is that single tuner glinting. The SR5 should have been called a Silouhette bass as its bassically a bass version of the EBMM guitar and with 2 tuners underneath but the Ray connection would have been lost other than the humbucker visually. Which does the blue SR5 resemble most the Silo guitar or the Stingray classic? I have noticed that the resident experts on here are quick to tell everyone not to use mismatched cabs even though a 1x15 and 2x10 was a very popular rig for a long time yet the most popular mismatched rig I see now is normally some kind of Barefaced mountain of various cabs piled up with some on their side etc?
