  1. A lot of these sessions sound like they will be to create something for artists stuck in the era they came from in studios built around the same time.
  2. Well they've been going since 1984 so they can't be doing too badly, the fanbois are always going to flock to their associated web site and defend it to the hilt as if they'll get given a medal or a free t shirt or something. I've been to the factory in CA, they haven't even got a sign never mind a factory tour or t shirt!
  3. I bet most cyclists play P basses too, bastards all of 'em
  4. Ah yes Woz! I remember picking up Stingrays and thinking how big and clumsy they felt, a few years later my first one was purchased from there!
  5. I'm not even on the ebmm forum, well I have a log in but I can't remember my user name or password, anyway, I'm not sure why anyone expects to get a warm welcome for picking fault on any manufacturers forum be it Fender, Gibson, musicman, Rickenbacker etc etc.
  6. The bass guy in musical exchanges used to slap red hot chili peppers for hours on end through one of those in the early 90s, that's where it needed to stay lol.
  7. It looks decent at first but then when you look closer you can see the routing around the pickups and the A string touching the E string tuning peg! £125?
  8. Even Deacon knew the P couldn't cut the mustard for AOBTD
  9. There are also many players that record with something else then mime with a P Bass to look the part in the video.
  10. Just had a look and that was a bargain although without the original case and the pickup swapped even though included won't help the resale.
  11. That's what you get for selling something between Christmas and new year. Also when I've 'won' things at a low price the seller has miraculously lost, broken or had said item stolen.
  12. Nah, I just keep plugging them back in when the drunkards trip over them! Were going in ears next year all being well.
  13. Looks ideal, active?, MM and jazz neck, decent bridge and tuners.
  14. I have a full fat 2013 Fender USA Jazz V here with the top of the range adjustable high mass bridge, even with my medium action some of the saddle adjustment screws are sticking out the top.
  15. I have room full of basses here but my 2010 Ray 5 is my all rounder, it has a slightly high fret (6th I think?) if you set the action super low but nothing a pro setup and fret dress stone wouldn't solve in less than two minutes other than that it is perfect right down to the sparkle blue finish, it isn't very heavy either. It feels like a bass you could take on a world tour and need nothing other than strings and a few 9v batteries which is probably why there are still a fair few pro players using them even though more exotic stuff exists.
  16. Mine all have room to spare anyway so nothing I will need to worry myself with, Old Horse Murphy had the action down to a gnats knacker on my Classic 5 before I owned it too but I have since raised it up.
  17. I am way too ham fisted to worry about that, two minutes on a bench grinder would solve it should you really need to.
  18. Like I said all mine are five string so don't have the weak G, I'm still waiting to hear about the problem with the saddles?
  19. We have the same issue with our DBtechnologies powered monitors.
  20. I do like the look of them, always have.
  21. Not your thread, the NBD thread by RedVee , He said that EBMM are lacking in quality yet in his thread the Rick has most of the niggles they come with that need putting right.
  22. I'm not sure, every one I've had has been maple 😃
  23. The 55-94 is a great bass, and twice the price though? I dont think any SR5s have an unrolled board, maybe less than some.
