1.
You are of course correct.... My main niggle is the position of the handles... who's idea was that? a single one at the back of the top would have made it much easier to wheel around and one half way up each side would have made it easier to carry.
Well Barefaced reckon putting them we want them ruins the sound, thats why they use the strap type ones on the outside which I am not a fan of and might be ok with less weight but not really suited to the weight of the Genz really IMO
 2.
Yep -- agreed. But that doesn't remove our right to comment on what we see as minor irritations does it? Or have I missed something?
Not at all moan away
 3.
I can see your point. Yes, we got it for £380, but it is an £800 cab. And at that price point (as people regularly say about BareFaced cabs) you have a right to expect a top quality fit and finish.
I still think the Genz looks better and mine has not lost any feet or handles and is still £70 less than a super twelveT which does not include any profit for a dealer network or shop does it, a handful of screws wont cost £400 and it will still look better in most peoples opinion and even perform (not sound thats subjective anyway, perform) to a comparable standard, even Alex says they are a decent cab, still a massive bargain in my opinion.
 4. As humans we are funny arent we? It was the bargain of the year and the US ones certainly are, yet we would have had just as much interest if they had said "who wants the same cab made over the border for £400 less?". If anyone is really upset I will trade my single Neox2x12t with rat fur and the correct screws for a pair of mexican made ones and you will still be £40 up or something! Joking aside I think my US cab has long screws poking through but I dont tend to put my hand in there
 5. You look like a right pair of slappers Nice work mate enjoy
 6.
MIM - Made in Mexico by Mexicans with long screws MIA - Made in America by Mexicans with the correct screws (Classic line from Talkbass that says it all) Look at what you got for the money - cant see anything to be miffed about tbh! Other people have paid hundreds more for the same product fairly recently. They are the ones who have a right to be a bit grumpy. Not trying to be confrontational here - just a bit objective, £380 for an amazing cab, be happy :-)
7. Wouldn't it be boring if everyone played a burst and tort fender.....oh mostly they do right now if watching Glastonbury, v festival, and jools Hollands show is anything to go by! Look at minis, no two are the same as they leave the factory and the standard ones won't stay that way long as there are parts a plenty on Ebay to bolt on, doesn't hurt the resale value or even increases it just like with fenders.
 8.
Not much room left for scotch eggs in those fridges. I mostly spent my week developing new price management tools for Avon. And explaining why their non-negotiable encryption requirements won't actually work. They still haven't accepted that they won't actually work, but it will come to them eventually.
Ha maybe some of those little ones with scrambled egg inside!
 9.
That's impressive work , Pete. I know very little about how electricity works , and I can't understand why Mrs Dingus seems to spend so much money on batteries nowadays . Dissapointing to know that your gizmo is going to Thailand to be used in a factory, though. It would have been nice if your handiwork was going to power some pumped-up fleshpot of a go go bar or simliar humanitariian project. Maybe next time.
Well I'd rather be on site in person for those jobs, sometimes you need a personal touch!
 10. The machines will probably end up all over the world anyway though, the components in my boxes are all able to run on 50 hz and 60hzas they use both apparently! The bulk of the new smaller models will be destined for China i suspect.
 11. I think rickenbacker have a patent on the tardis so I decided it was best not to try!
 12. I wouldnt want to be trying to transpose from a possible C or D or E when I previously had a B
 13. I think the usa stuff is built in taiwan isnt it
 14. 1/3 of the price of a similar barefaced and the wait was a few days, you buggers Made in mexico eh.....interesting indeed.....
 15.
Interesting they get that built in the uk?
Just realising they will probably copy mine if (when) they expand, mine will be like the pre cbs version
 16.
Thats cruel Pete. I bet you will be busy wiring up Turkey sheds then. On a serious note, thanks for the description, I was truly baffled.
The farmer showed me last time which cow he is having for xmas dinner! On a serious note how baffled will the thai bloke be when he sees it, we havent labelled them as there was no point!
 17.
Interesting they get that built in the uk?
Thats business now I guess, there were no plans or anything but I copied a similar setup from the uk factory's test area. To complicate it more the guy opening this franchise is a german that was working in sweden but came here to learn how to build up the dishwashers and test them, he is going to show the new thai employees how to do it over there with parts shipped in from china! At least its not a doom and gloom story as they are going to be building these new machines instead.
 18. As expected, good its so cheap really,if it was a bit more with a real phone number and a good story I could see someone getting stung.
 19.
This bass retired my Wal, Stingray 5 and Fender about 10 mins after I brought it, nearly 9 years ago.
Have you still got this Chris? I have decided its the only bass that could sway me now, in that colour too!
 20.
Won't fit on my pedal board
I can knock you up a bigger one, three phase power amp could be fun
 21.
You forgot to fit the speakers.......!
I knew something was missing, lol
 22.
What is it ?
The company make commercial dishwashers, they are opening a small factory in thailand to build there smaller units to free up the guys here to build a new version just coming into full production designed for huge hotels and cruise ships etc. It will be mounted on the wall in the test bay to power newly built machines as they undergo the final test before shipping. It will trip out under all conditions if their is a fault and they can check the volts/amps as the machine goes through it cycle. I'm wiring up some cow sheds next week then an mot centre the week after hopefully finishing a full house renovation before christmas so as much as I hate my job at least its varied!
 23. I thought it might be worth showing you what I have built at work this week? started with a blank box last thursday, all tested and being shipped to Thailand tomorrow. All the parts got sent to me day by day or I would have laid the sockets out better and they were built in about half the time needed really.
