[/quote] I don't do any of those thing very often but I do play across the board making things easier and also can play songs in different keys much easier if playing with different bands playing the same songs but in different keys.

Oh and yes five is better usually played by better players

[/quote] I agree, if you do lots of covers with more than one band and in different keys in think its fair to start in the wrong key and have to have a rewind as the OP calls it, if you are generally good for the rest of the set its ok and a good front person should be able to lighten the mood! As long as its not every other song though.

Dan [/quote] Mine is a 1.6 diesel but in zetec spec, best of everything IMO. Getting more and more to the gallon as the cold weather is finally going a bit, 52mpg last time I looked and that's all short runs, £30 to tax, cheap to insure compared to similar spec cars. I gather a lot of the problems noted are down to people trying to service them on a budget which ruins them!

Really grinds your gears don't it!

I have done originals on the pub scene for a couple of years, its hard work imo. Two 1 hour sets of known songs will get you booked back every few months and the audience will be much more 'up for it' too. Ok the old backroom 3 bands a night gig might have a more open minded audience but in the usual dog and gun playing your own songs with someone shouting for sex on fire between each song will boil your piss

To be fair if you can't play freebird in four years time I'd probably have a look at golf clubs or football boots

Some people forget what it is like to learn a new skill, I am new to double bass and have asked lots of what may appear to be stupid questions, some answers were obvious once I had been given some advice. Thankfully the same old people comparing penis size don't tend to frequent that area of the forum
