1. It's not a bass collection is it? No fret makers and something on the truss cover, just my luck to fall for one after seeking my last one!
 2. I like his tobacco burst bass, waistcoat and glasses!
 3. I've got an Atari 2600 but can't find any of this music in any of the menus?
 4. Yes the spike does rattle a bit, I have wrapped mine in the thin foam that it was packed in and sellotape, fine now
 5.
I always shave off a couple of euros everytime my girlfriend asks me how much i payed for my latest aquisition...
I try and shave them off from the end, £1000 becomes £100 for example
 6. Must be good if there is so many pages about them? I wonder if they have an album coming out or something that needs promoting, I did notice a lot of talk about mop tops which I can only presume are some form of sweater?
 7.
Holy crap - I thought it was about the Beatles.
Who are they, some new band?
 8. Does anyone? whats this one about anyway, horse beef or reading music not being compulsary was it?
 9.
Flipping hell! I can't believe this is still going! Please lock the thread before we die of boredom! Oh yeah... IBTL.
I think I did that joke a while ago?
 10.
Yes but how many of you know what the tertiary dominant chord is in the key of Bb? I have been told that there is now a guitar which plays in tune no matter how badly it is out of tune. These folks are not musicians but rather "guitar owners".
My mate does a gig with a loop pedal and a Variax guitar, makes some good noises! Has the lowest 3 strings as a sort of 51 P bass sound and the other 3 as steel strung acoustic mainly then swaps to a strat or a Les Paul for the solos, crazy eh?
 11.
It was a pretty obscure model of a bass that has been out of production for 20+ years, so I did search completed listings on ebay but this didn't turn up any results. I have had some great buying experiences on basschat as well but I was pretty naive when I started out on basschat I was happy with the bass before and to a lesser extent after.
Tricky one with obscure stuff I guess, I have paid £1200 for a pre EB Stingray but I would not really like to sell it on at that price, try and find another (even the white refin on ebay is £1400) , If I sold it for £1500 ono on basschat I would say that is still a pretty good price, does that make me a flipper?
 12.
What 5-string were you playing back then?
Thats what I thought!
 13.
I was once in a band where the keyboard player played all the songs in C!! The keyboard could transpose keys so he moved them all to C whatever the key. Not sure why as he was quite capable of playing in any key.
I dont know why we dont just make all songs in C?
 14.
I guess that's the origin of best before dates and use by dates.
That only works if you decide that the sandwich would last say 4 weeks in the freezer then put a date 4 weeks in advance, any you make after you know will last longer and can be dated as such, these were all made on the same day
 15. Where you happy with the bass before and indeed after? Did you research what others were fetching?
 16. Good reason for the fiver then! I'd like to see someone play it on a four.
 17.
Well done Pete. That's the power of the upright. I've never been short of work in (whisper it softly) 50 years. Enjoy!
The guy really wanted an acoustic DB but is happy to give it a go, I think mine sounds pretty good with its Spirocores on and the mods done All in good time, If I had somewhere to put one I would be tempted to sell my black pre EB to fund one, I still love that Framus cutaway in the FS section
 18.
This is great news Pete. Been reading your 'just bought a EUB' thread and i'm tempted to give one a go myself. Never had either a DB or an EUB in my sticky paws before but seriously tempted. Best of luck with the demo
Do it mate you will love it, took me no time to get a tune out of it after that well the learning curve is a steep as you want it to be!
 19. To top it off you are going to tell us they have a keys player and all the songs are in C which is what he has the gadget set to anyway? My dad had a mate at school whos mom hated making sandwiches so used to make them all at the start of the month then freeze them (fair enough not for me but ok) she used to label everyones sandwich and the date they were for with little labels which took hours, but they were all made on the same day so the date was pointless and even better they were all cheese and tomato!
