1.
E sharp! PAH! You'l be teling us you saw Elvis working in a fish n chip shop next then ? .
I know crazy ain't it!
2. I don't see why it's being pedantic, the E is sharp in the key of F sharp, it's just that it's the first time I have knowingly played one
3. All my brain cells got used on reading ain't nobody and understanding that I had finally found an E#, the double sharps will have to wait
4.
I think that's only for double bass.
Well I have one of those and have made some funny noises with it, maybe one of them was it?
5. Still no idea where the double sharp (E##) comes in but I will look for the next 25 years
6. As a fairly novice reader I have just been using my new found skill to read Chaka Khan Aint Nobody for our function band and as its in F# major the E is sharp, ten years ago I would of doubted its existence even though I had probably been playing them, This was the first time I have ever conciously played E# Doddy will be proud next time I see him
7. Re the above I can play a 4 or 5 strings without much fuss swapping between basses during a set anyway.
8. I can't imagine using a four for function band stuff now, if you play in one band maybe but playing the same song in a different key a few days apart is so much easier if you have learnt the songs playing off the B string even if you never touch the ERB area
9. I have used one a lot, nice basses. The tort guard is a bit flimsy and the string spacing is even narrower than a regular ray 5 but it did not bother me.
10. I will have a hunt then thanks.
11. when I say you I mean me obviously as your a left hooker so to speak!
12. Any idea where you can try one out and the cost of one?
13.
LOL - that newsletter from Warwick got my attention too As electric uprights, Triumphs are cool IMO, such an unusual shape. I've never been able to play one though - I'm actually waiting for Warwick to produce an affodable lefty Rockbass Triumph sooner or later! - so I'm not sure whether such shape is as ergonomic to play as the traditional long-and-thin EUB shape.
Is there a rockbass triumph then? I have missed them!
14. Best of luck with it Jim, I have a few gigs coming in now so I am hoping it will head on up to me soon

16. Is this the slowest burning thread ever?
17. Can't rush these things!
18. No problems here either (three shuttles) Di all good and had positive comments from sound engineers and in the studio. Ground lift disconnects the earth from the xlr to or from your amp and the desk, this is useful because you can have too many earths and create a sort of loop that picks up signals and noises etc, lifting it at your amp breaks the loop but the xlr still has it's shielding and your amp is still earthed as normal everywhere else.
19.
If I see a guitarist with a PRS and MesaBoogie, I tend to roll my eyes in disgust. There goes somebody who has gone into their average high street music shop and bought the most expensive stuff they had... and convinced themselves it sounded good.
Haha, you know that I know that you know who this is twidly didly dee, adjust pots and repeat.......
20. I have not slept for days worrying about this amp! Is it fixed yet?
21. HHhmmm look at all the DB stalkers that have come from the Stagg camp now where can I put a double bass?.....
22. We need pictures! (of the bass not other half) (well then again we wont stop you!) Love mine now, practice tonight got a few numbers in the covers band set now that work well on the EUB
23. "Hi I'm Tom Tucker"
