[/quote] This about where I am, I used to use my zoom in almost every song back in the originals days, this became just for song 2 Blur in a covers band which became just a Boss HM-2 guitar pedal for that and now has become putting the valve on full if I can be arsed on the very rare occasion I need any distortion. If you want super clean uncoloured sound put one of the Genz Shuttles on your list, the Streamliner is more of a valve kind of thing that will go clean but not Shuttle clean

I'd never buy an expensive combo, head first then a nice cab, you can always add another cab or even lend one for any bigger gigs you encounter

More is better, its basschat rules! I am currently using a 900 watt twin channel genz amp into a 1x10 cab in the box room!

I have just bought a power supply for mine (£9.99 Maplins) as it is going to live next to my head rather than on the floor, also I use it for helping me pitch on the DB so I am running it for hours on end. I like it though

I was not really even disagreeing, more devils advocate really. If you are making music you are a musician imo, if you are playing golf you are a golfer, football a footballer etc after that each case will depend on how well you do it, if people enjoy what you are doing it is job done
