1.
i know the seller and he is straight
He wants his bass not a night at the cinema
2. Mine has never come loose but this thread has made me think it would be worth a checkup, thanks
3. Awesome but it plays with a pick (picks) so it will never be a pro player !
4. I'd just get a 2 band mm clone preamp, someone on here sells them for hardly anything, can't remember who? Such a simple circuit that it will be spot on, make sure the pickup is wired as parallel or even fit a push pull pot as a series parallel option
5. Having one class D lightweight head and one bass is very handy for gigging, I have four of the same bass and three Genz heads now as that setup is so practical
6. I presume so yes. The local was put into all the nerves from my neck after i was ut out under the general so it was limp from the shoulder down, like an elephants trunk swinging
7. I was a bit out of it still when they let me WALK out last night! Hopefully worth it to have the specialist surgeon do it rather than an emergency patch up job when it happened. I had a general and a local so the bones could be drilled, the local anaesthetic lasted until tea time today so my arm was just hanging limp too. Best wishes with the leg though
8. Well my hand was only held on by the small bone (ulna?) as the end of the big one (radius?) was blown clean off, the specialist operates from a different hospital on Tuesday's, I did it on Saturday so I presume they just decided it was better long term for the hand surgeon to do it yesterday rather than someone else doing it as an emergency on the Sunday as first planned. Everyone else having ops were clearly people that had been on waiting lists for weeks, the only downside (and I'm still very grateful to them) was that I'd say it was border line for the day surgery really, I think I should of been in overnight to be honest on a normal ward. As I said I am grateful for them slotting me in to the specialist surgeons schedule though and I'm much better now. My arm hurts like feck and is as big as a house though, that's not their fault though I electrocuted it all by myself! Fingers crossed you will be sorted soon
9. They are good and easily modable, I have one of their guitars.
10. I see you have a fretless, bit of Pino?
11. Genz Benz NeoxT you know it's the best
12. I used the 79 in anger last Friday, it sounded awesome! Bottom end is absolutely killer pre EB basses do appear to all be quite different especially the neck profiles and frets, unlike Fenders of the same era though they are all good!
13. IMO as long as its a good neck then low C, low B or high C should all be possible with minor adjustments that we should all be able to do at home
14. Just a quick update to say I'm alive and bolted up Hurts quite a bit but I could be dead so just got to keep on going, my arm is huge! Thanks again everyone and stay safe.
15. Some DIs are just noisy anyway, but a squirt of servisol in there won't hurt it at all.
16. Looks like there are quite a few of us idiots on here
17. I have been away from here for a while and missed all the fun with this guy! Is it still for sale?
18. I take no responsibility for people being as stupid as me
19. cheers dude : ) I will treat you to a Grinnall lol update- CT scan has shown that the ball on the end of the big arm bone that holds your hand on has come off, going in tomorrow for an operation to bolt in back on again then a plate over the lot, might start learning a few Adam Clayton lines in a few weeks
20. That's encouraging low end bee, thanks The '79 has a few knocks anyway Jose and I know you would be careful with it.
21. I had an ABM for years, every now and then it needed a good clean out, remove the gear tray and blow everywhere out with an airline first, get in the jacks etc and around the eq sliders, then liberally spray everywhere with servisol from maplins whilst turning sliding pushing and pulling every knob and control as you go, leave it stood on its end for a good few hours to dry out, connect it up and enjoy the hiss and crackle free goodness done it at least four times to mine, give the cooling fan blades a wipe down too. sorry for the lack of caps i have a bust arm!
22. I am missing something or am I right in thinking the op was asking about low C rather than high C? if so that will be fine as you will be tuning the B up to C which should be ok i would say as long as its got a good truss rod as it might want a tiny tweak tighter, thats all.
23. I'd be glad to let you have it until the cast is removed Jose, shame your so far away, is there anyway you could get it?
