But we like moaning about it so it's not wasted time (unlike watching Daniel Blumberg), either you like moaning about us moaning or your wasting your time that you could spend waiting to see if that Daniel Blumberg song ever gets going? Lol.

I don't even play the bits where he's sat at the piano or talking to someone. Does it matter if we moan about it, we don't pay per post or thread or anything, if you don't like this thread why read it every week? See what I did there?

I flick through, give it a minute at most to see what it's like, St Vincent was the only act I watched all the way through.

Does that make them above being discussed then, "on TV"?

Are you bothered if you ding your relic’d bass?
stingrayPete1977 replied to nash's topic in General Discussion
It partly depends on the relic job done in the first place, if it was done by hand so each instrument carries different patterns of relic no one would know unless its damage like the top horn missing. The god awful Fender ones with the laquer over what was clearly a template then the real relic would stand out. -
James with some bad drumming, stood around in a circle like they were in a rehearsal room, At least there was a Stingray 5. Why does it take twenty people to play a song we could cover with our four piece function band? St Vincent, OK ish, nice outfit, second song was better, Prince lives on. Kudos for getting a musicman model. Nice jam with the other band's sax player. (from her album). A jazz prog outfit, not my thing. At least there was a double bass. Daniel Blumberg, double bass with a misery stick looks promising..... I'm waiting for it to start...... Still waiting, sounds like a radio head b side I'm fast forwarding.

I'd place one angled towards me then sell the other and use the PA 😃

Earlier Ernie balls don't have the green pcb board with the pots attached, I don't think the actual circuit is any different between an SR4 and SR5 3eq, just the spacing that can't be altered if they are on a pcb unlike the ones that are just stuck to the rear of the pots with sticky pads.

Gibson's recovery halted by Trump's trade policy?
stingrayPete1977 replied to Rikkers's topic in General Discussion
I think it's more likely that any they do stock take a long time to sell, mainly because they're gash. 😋 -

I dont think they had much choice! Although I wouldn't have got for the sexist, racist, misoginistic one myself. -

So if Gibson had done a better job of things they could be like Fender and only $100 million dollars in debt? -
AFAIK the preamps are the same for four and five string, sort of, obviously the pickup is switchable on a five. The cheaper versions have different preamps, the pots are much looser to turn for a start, what actual components are used I don't know. I've got a classic five which has the two band preamp and an Alnico pickup just like a standard 80s Stingray 4.

playing with a pick is faster - fact or fiction?
stingrayPete1977 replied to lowdowner's topic in General Discussion
I use the up and down stroke of a pick, I couldn't get close with fingers. -
The greenboy cabs are much nicer sounding to my ears than the fanbois favourite around here, volume, clarity and thump aplenty!

I suspect money would have been involved.

I'm not sure how looking at abused children was going to help him decide if he had been abused, I can't see many publishers getting involved with his next book if it contains that topic.

5 pages already talking about a guy who's just released a new album, looks like his work here is done. From the TV advert it sounds poop to me and they've even crammed in "featuring Pete 'I was researching for my book' Townshend on guitar" into it, considering the other two members of the who are dead that'll be a who album then! Lol.

Combo amp? Size? Wattage? (newbie bassist question)
stingrayPete1977 replied to PTV's topic in Amps and Cabs
Have you got an amp stand that tilts back? It will make a difference on stage imo, if your band can keep the stage volume down to match your combo you'll have a great sound out front from the pa without everyone ruining the mix. -
