  1. Unless I'm on a big stage I don't really want much or any guitar fold back unless they are on in ears or amp simulator. I'd ditch the old fashioned amp and go for a powered wedge, point it at your head and enjoy lower stage volumes and a clearer mix out front. Get a good full range one and you can put the band mix into your own monitor along with your bass.
  2. Looking good there scalpy.
  3. I like my gedo if it's any help, only the cheapest ones are far Eastern, mine is half carved and Romanian, the full carved are made in europe somewhere and their workshop fitted my choice of strings and an adjustable bridge to a professional standard.
  4. What sort of gigs are you planning on doing with 4 4x10s
  5. It's not a model, he's got a really really big house.
  6. There's no way I'd be getting involved with this, I'm not bothered about people flipping stuff but until it's in his hands it could have a broken neck, faulty pickups or anything, I'd refund and meet up and exchange for cash only pretty much half way across anywhere in the uk.
  7. Ah I wonder who that was?
  8. I suppose the relic job would have to be faked too, maybe cars belonging to cash for cash 'victims'?
  9. Limelight- replica kit car with fake badges.
  10. Excellent work as always Silvia
  11. I thought that after I posted but didn't want to cheat with an edit, lol Yo no se yo no se yo no se
  12. Yo tambien, ¡esto es por que yo sabe la letra n no es mismo la letra ñ!
  13. No the I is e as you say but the accent on the á puts the emphasis on the a sound ba like bah, the letter ñ is pronounced including the y sound 'enyay'. Ee bah nyeth.
  14. If you're going for the full Ibáñez then the accent will make it a ba with a hard á, the ñ is pronounced with the y sound so "E-ba-nyeth".
  15. My Spanish born and bred teacher says as I said, Ibanez, ee ban eth. It has no accent, it has no tilde so you can't just add them because it sounds more Spanish. Of course the origin of the name Salvador Ibáñez would be pronounced, Ee ba nyeth. I'd still use Eyebanez in a shop anyway, lol.
  16. I'm having a Spanish lesson later, I'll ask my teacher how he'd say it.
  17. No, there's no accent on the a in their logo and the y sound would only come in if the new had was an ñ
  18. To be fair I can only think of one thing worse than an Eric Clapton gig, an acoustic Eric Clapton before it!
  19. I went to the snooker at the Barbican years ago, because it was sponsored by Travis Perkins the entire front row of seats was made up of people made to go to fill up the seats, they sat there bored as nice old ladies that had paid good money struggled to see over their heads.
  20. Yes but I do have the FRFR as my FOH mix that the audience hear because my monitor amp is turned down as low as possible, I only ever use the bigger cab for larger gigs where the 735s are at their limit, those would be gigs where with your vocal pa and amp setup would have involved hiring in more kit.
  21. That's the point I am trying to make to Al, if my kit got stolen I'd get an extra 735 and use that as my amp, cheaper than a comparable bass rig (not what you personally require, comparable on technical specs), I can't see a reason why anyone would buy a big rig these days.
  22. It's nothing to do with that, they get excessively more elaborate as the weeks pass, becomes comical almost, when I in Spain I don't expect them to put on an English accent when they use my name.
  23. Any system is only as strong as it's weakest link and there's some understandable confusion regarding the FRFR being used just for bass monitoring on stage, as backline without pa support and backline with pa support and all the variables of the pa system. Strangely neither me nor EBS_freak use the setup we're harping on about as such, I use either a small combo or a bigger bass amp and he uses in ears mostly. We both use RCF as foh though and we both own our Pa systems rather than band shared so the option to use the pa as backline or monitor for other gigs where we either dep or have full professional pa support would allow us to use the RCF kit. With your current kit essentially you would be governed to a venue where the drums and bass can cut through and the stage area volume has to be loud enough for people at the back to hear.
  24. My bug bear with presenters is the one up manship of foreign names, it started with Charlie Hebdo and I started a thread about it at the time I think? As the weeks pass we go from Charlie Hebdo to Jarrrleee Erbdoughh, the same thing has happened with the Julia Scripal thing, Hoooliaa Skreapaal.
