1. For sale is a superb Mono M80 2B bass gigbag in black. It's in equally superb condition and hasn't had too hard a life by any means! It's in the back finish and is a superb piece of kit for carrying 2 basses around in complete security. I'll try and put some pics up but it really is in super condition. These are currently selling for £199 plus £10 postage. I'm looking for £165 picked up or meet locally from either Woking (weekends) or Bristol (week days). It really is in super condition. Here's a link to a super review of these cases: http://bassmusicianmagazine.com/2009/10/gear-impressions-and-luthier-spotlight-with-jake-wolf-mono-cases/
2. Mike bought a cab off me recently. It was a totally hassle-free deal and he's a lovely guy Highly recommended
3. I meant to post this a while ago but forgot. I popped in to Andertons a while back to try the Fender Coronado basses (okay but uncomfortable to play sitting down) and the Starcaster bass (lovely but a lot heavier than I thought). After deciding I have too many basses as it is, I passed the acoustic guitars and decided to try out a Taylor Mini GS. It was more than okay, but didn't really do it for me. Just as I was putting it back on the stand, I spotted this; a Gibson J45 which is something I've hankered for over many years. This one is used, in generally great condition and considerably cheaper than a new one. A bit of umming and I decided to pull the trigger. My wife will kill me if she finds out but I'll see how I get on with it
4. Mel sold me a Protec Contego case in a very easy and pleasant deal. Highly recommended
5. For sale is a Bergantino EX112ER 12" Cab. This is one of the best sounding cabs I have played through and is unfortunately no longer in production. Paired with the HT112ER, it makes an amazing rig but is equally as good on it's own. Dimensions are 15.34" (H), 18.5" (W), 15" (D) and it weighs in at a very manageable 16.3kgs. It also comes with a fitted Bergantino cover and is in super condition. I am looking for £360 and it can be picked up from either Woking (weekends) or Bristol (week days). I'll put pics up shortly (I'm in Bristol currently and the cabs are in Surrey), but its in top condition.
6. Rehearsed my one twice and gigged with it once and can honestly say I've never played a better Ric. Built beautifully too I guess I was lucky
7. Wonderful basses. I have a 2007 model too and as Gareth says, the build quality is equal to an Custom Shop Fender I've played. I'd be quite tempted to buy this and have it fretted. It would be sacrilegious though.
8. Ian sold me a Mono strap in a totally hassle-free sale. Highly recommended
9.
Com'n Nick sort yourself out.
The bloody nerve of the man! Hope you're well Rich
10. For sale is a virtually new 2014 Fender US Jazz Bass that I bought very recently. Unfortunately, a recent addition means that this one has to go. It's currently strung with TI Flats. It's in a beautiful Sunburst finish and comes factory-equipped with the Custom Shop Jazz pickups. Weight-wise, it's under 9lbs and plays and sounds wonderful. This will definitely be one bass I'll regret selling It is in super condition and I can't see a mark on it, apart from a patch of tiny scratches on the back of the body (belt buckle) where the new super-thin lacquer Fender applies has been scuffed. Nothing is through the paintwork though, and this is a common issue with the new finishes on the current Fender basses. I've tried my best to photograph it, but it has been quite difficult to capture. I'm being very picky too It comes with all the candy, but no case. The new Fenders are currently supplied with the 70's style tolex cases, but this one comes with a semi-hard Kinsman Case instead (far more practical and similar to the Sadowsky-style case). The bass has been used sparingly and has not been gigged. These cost in excess of £1,100 new. This one is for sale at £825. It was bought in Andertons in mid-January, so is only 6 weeks old at most. I'm really not looking for trades but would consider a Classic Stingray or a Stingray 5 String
11. I recently sold Dunc a combo in a totally hassle-free and very pleasant deal. It couldn't have been easier Highly recommended. Thanks Dunc
12. Rehearsal last night was great The bass is a lovely light weight and very comfortable to play. The neck is chunky but not as bad as some P basses I've played and the lack of taper is soon unnoticeable. I restrung it with TI's and got the action nice and low. There is quite a difference in pickup output volume, so I lowered the bridge pickup and it's much much better. It has that gorgeous Rickenbacker "fizz" you get with both pickups turned on full and the tone on too. I agree with Simon: the finish is spotless and the wood used is wonderful in the flesh. Very happy indeed
13. Unfortunately not looking for trades on this but thanks for the offers
14. Yes please Can you PM me your payment details etc please
15. I'm fortunate enough to own this one. Weight-wise it's just under 9lbs. They look even better in the flesh
16. Wow! Great price for a super bass from a lovely man These basses are so good. Fill your boots
17. Well well well! Apologies for the delay in replying, but things have been rather manic. I am pleased to say however, that the Promethean combo unbelievably survived the tree! Although the roof of the boot was squashed, it somehow managed to stay intact and weather-proof The Status bass wasn't quite so lucky, but now looks like a headless one, despite being originally headed! Anyway, if people are interested, this is back up for sale. More than happy for people to try it out, but it seems to work fine and is very loud indeed
18. I have this for sale currently. It's a super Markbass combo I'm also staying in Stanton Drew on weekdays, so we're practically neighbours http://basschat.co.uk/topic/229957-for-sale-markbass-cmd151p-combo-l600/page__p__2370488#entry2370488
19. Rather belated feedback but effusive nonetheless! I bought Alan's pair of Bergantino cabs from him. I've yet to ry them out, but they are in wonderful condition (even better than. Described) and the whole deal was as easy as could be. Highly recommended. Thanks Alan
20. I got one in a trade a while back but sold it on to Alhbass a while ago. Tonally it does a close approximation of everything and the temptation to constantly dick about with the controls was the reason I sold it. It was built to last nd weighed in at just over 9lbs.
21. I'm good thanks Steve and sorry for putting temptation in front of you Hope you're fit and well
