1. Apologies to everyone who has shown interest in the combo. I'm not being rude in not replying but unfortunately a huge tree fell on my car last week and pretty-much destroyed it. Unfortunately both my Promethean and a Berg cab and Status bass were in the boot at the time and I can't actually access the car yet to see whether everything is intact, which is very doubtful given the external damage I will keep everyone posted though
2. For sale is a 2009 Markbass CMD151P bass combo, which is the 15" version of the CMD121P combo. It's powered by the Markbass Littlemark 2 amp and pushes out 300w at 8 ohms and 500w at 4 ohms. It also weighs in at a lovely light 18.5kgs. Condition-wise it's in very good condition. There is some beading on the carpet finish and a very small bit of discolouration on the grille, but it's had a very easy life overall and even has the Markbass sticker still on it. I'm looking for £560. These don't come up often for sale secondhand and retail for £900+ new. Hers the spec: SPEAKER: 1x15" TWEETER: Piezo BASS REFLEX: Rear IMPEDANCE: 8 ohms SPEAKER POWER HANDLING: 400W RMS (AES Standard) AMP OUTPUT POWER: 500W @ 4 ohm / 300W @ 8 ohm PREAMP: Solid state FREQUENCY RESPONSE: 40 Hz to 18 kHz CROSSOVER FREQUENCY: 3.5 kHz SENSITIVITY: 100 dB SPL WEIGHT: 40.7 lbs / 18.5 kg HEIGHT: 18.27 in. / 46.4 cm WIDTH: 18.27 in. / 49.4 cm DEPTH: 18.9 in. / 48 cm
3. I'd say more than comparable in terms of construction and considering it's only a 10" speaker, it's incredibly deep and full sounding and very loud! Combine that with weighing under 10kgs too and it's not covered in fur like the Markbass.
4. Not looking for trades I'm afraid Dan but thanks for the offer
5. For sale is a very recently acquired Ibanez Promethean 5110C bass combo that I bought from our very own Eude. These combos are superb and capable of pushing out 250w in the combo format, but with an extension cab, or the completely detachable amp being used with another cab altogether can go t 500w at 4ohms. The combo weighs in at just under 10kgs and comes with a very well padded carry case. This is super either for practice or small gigs. It also comes with an aux input and headphone socket for practice purposes. It also has a built in angled stand. Easily loud enough for small gigs and great for electric and acoustic/double bass. It's in super condition and well-looked after. It's also built like a tank. I had every intention of keeping this, but a in a fortunate position as my wife has just bought me another combo to use I paid £350 for this and would like that back. These come up rarely and as this is a first run production model, it's desirable. Available for pick up or meet in either Woking (weekends) or Bristol (week days). Apologies to Ewan for "borrowing" his photos
6. For sale is my Bergantino CN212 plus fitted padded Bergantino cover as I've just picked up a pair of Bergantino112's. This cab is superb and one of the very best cabs I've played through. Unfortunately though, due to a change of music style I'm probably only going to need a 112 for the majority of my gigs. My cab is in super condition and has always been transported with the cover on it. It's super light too, so is a pleasure to move There are a couple of dents at the very bottom of the cab (pictured) but I think that's reflected in the price. It can be picked up potentially from either Woking at weekends or Bristol during the week. Now for sale at £850 inc the padded cover. Brand new this would cost £1,030 with the cover. Thanks for looking
7. Wow, that's quite, ummm something. It sort of reminds me of those animal shaped chocolate biscuits my Mum used to buy for me when I was little
8. Really tempted as part of my Bristol rig when I'm down there working. Don't know what Bitxoins really are and how I can get them though
9. Another deal in short succession with Gareth. He's like a drug. You have been warned A thoroughly decent guy and a flawless deal again. Thanks Gareth
10.
Can I ask why you're selling? I'm after one for my Nate Mendel but it's a weight issue, I might hold off. Sorry for the Spanish Inquisition :-S
Hi Skej I'm only selling because I have a number of cases already and to be honest, I thought if I sold this one I might recoup some of the money the Jazz bass cost me before my wife finds out how much I spent
11. I asked the same question a while back Chris and the consensus was a big "yes". As a result I've done it on 2 basses without any issue** ** this statement does not act as a warranty or any form of guarantee for the robustness of Thomastik Infeld bass strings and the author is in no way liable for any failure of the strings.
12. For sale is a brand new unused Fender Pro Series Bass case in black Tolex. I received it with a Fender US Jazz bass I've recently bought and it still has the protective wrapping over the handle. Complete with keys. This case is the same style as the cases issued in the 70's and is in mint condition (because it's new!) I will post it in the original packaging or it can be picked up from either Woking at week ends or Bristol during the week. Selling for £99 plus postage on Thomann, I want £85 plus £8 postage for mine.
13. I finally met the lovely Gareth after many PM's and several deals over the years. He's a lovely guy and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Thanks Gareth
14. Pete bought a Korg Tuner from me in a totally faultless and easy deal. Highly recommended:)
15. Would possibly consider trades for a rosewood boarded US Series Fender Jazz
16. There's only really one person who can answer this
17. Lovely bass Lozz. Bung a tortoise shell pickguard on it and you've got a dead-ringer for my old P bass
18.
Great history on that bass Nick.
Thanks Lozz. Hope you're well
